...Yu-Chi Chang and colleagues wanted to see if they could make a repeatedly self-healing gelatin-based film that would mend cracks in minutes and preserve electrical functionality.
The researchers mixed gelatin and glucose to create a flexible film that they sandwiched between conductive material to simulate an electronic device. After bending the simulated electronic device, the team saw breaks in the gelatin-glucose film disappear within 3 hours at room temperature and within 10 minutes when warmed to 140 F. Gelatin without glucose did not self-repair under the same conditions. The glucose-based gelatin also transferred an electrical signal following multiple rounds of damage and repair, with an unexpected improvement to the film’s electrical performance. The experiments show that glucose and gelatin probably form reversible and interlocking imide bonds during the healing process. The new film could help maintain the durability of touchscreen and flexible display devices, advanced robotics and assisted health technologies, the researchers say...

A Green Strategy for Developing a Self-Healing Gelatin Resistive Memory Device
Abstract
Self-healing gelatin resistive random access memory (RRAM), namely, SHG RRAM, is utilized by incorporating the reversible imine bond as self-healing points into the gelatin. With the reformation of the dynamic imine bonds, the damaged SHG RRAM can repeatedly restore its memory properties after healing at 60 °C. Compared with the pristine SHG RRAM, the SHG RRAM after the healing process exhibits a higher ON/OFF ratio of over 105. This interesting phenomenon could be attributed to the bending and heating process induced C–C sp3 bonds, which consequently decrease the HRS current. In addition, the CAFM images can show that the filament paths occurred at the healed crack edge, leading to usefulness of the cracks in the formation of filament paths. These results repudiated the concept that cracks due to bending can reduce the performance of electronics. Moreover, the SHG RRAM after the healing process shows reproducible resistive switching, acceptable electrical uniformity, and stable retention characteristics. The self-healing gelatin material could provide a potential opportunity for the future development of biopolymers used in smart electronics applications.

Abstract
The practical application of raw biomass in high-performance supercapacitors is mainly hindered by virtue of their relatively rare efficient storage sites and low diffusion kinetics. Herein, hierarchical porous carbons (HPCs) are synthesized from heavy fraction of bio-oil (HB) based on a hard-template method accompanied by different NaOH activation temperatures. Thanks to the favorable 3D-interconnected hierarchical porous structure, ultrahigh specific surface area (3095 m2 g−1), large total pore volume (1.66 cm3 g−1), as well as reasonable content of oxygen atoms (7.83 at. %), CSB-800 delivers a prominent gravimetric specific capacitance of 351 F g−1 (0.5 A g−1), which is considerably superior or at least comparable than previously reported for other biomass-based materials. In addition, the assembled CSB-800//CSB-800 symmetric supercapacitors can reach a superior energy density of 20 W h kg−1 at a power density of 350 W kg−1 (0.5 A g−1). The route proposed for preparing HB-based HPCs broadens a new horizon in exploring large-scale synthesis of electrode materials from industrial by-product and kitchen waste.

More than just a spicy night snack, the crayfish has been endowed with greater significance. Prof. Zhu Xifeng's team from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) made it possible to use crayfish shell as the biological template for high-performance supercapacitors. This work was published in Carbon.
Compared with other high-performance materials, biomass has long been regarded as a promising one for its environmental-friendliness and wide availability. However, practical application of biomass is restricted by relatively rare efficient storage sites, low diffusion kinetics and the need for huge amount of premade nano templates.
To solve these problems, the researchers innovatively introduced crayfish shells to initiate the biological template.
Shells were dried, ground and pretreated in an alkaline solution to retrieve templates, which were then mixed with the heavy fraction of bio-oil derived from agricultural waste to manufacture hierarchical porous carbons, a kind of supercapacitor material.
The mixed product delivered very good capacitance of 351 F/g thanks to its ultrahigh specific surface area, large total pore volume and reasonable content of oxygen atoms, which are of importance to a capacitor.
Besides, the symmetric supercapacitors assembled by the synthetic samples showed a superior energy density of 20 Wh/kg at a power density of 350W/kg, preceding other biomass materials.
This method possesses an environmentally friendly solution for the power storage problem of the rapidly growing market for wearable displays, electric vehicles and smartphones.

The following is a small excerpt from chapter seven in my upcoming book, which I may call, Taken without a shot. It examines the relationship between behaviorism, critical theory, persuasive communications and how the media carefully constructs a fear message designed to control our behavior. The title alludes to the famous quote by Nikita Khrushchev where he proudly said America would be taken without a shot. It is my contention that the meaning behind this quote was based on the knowledge of human behavior being easily manipulated.
People are growing increasingly suspicious of the mainstream media. For so long it was believed that there was a distinct split between the left and right when it came to news broadcasts. CNN and MSNBC for example, are considered extremely left wing as they do little more than spew propaganda that reinforces the government supported narrative. Fox news, on the other hand, has enjoyed the popular support of the conservative right as they have been viewed as being pro-America, and more importantly, Pro-Trump. That is until they started calling the election in favor of Biden in a way that conservatives considered to be too soon. [1]
Unfortunately, the perceived left right paradigm between the MSNBC, CNN and Fox News is little more than an illusion. Fox News is owned by the Murdoch family and in July of 2020, Rupert’s son James and his wife donated 1.2 million dollars to the Biden campaign.[2] Furthermore, Rupert himself donated large sums of money to not only the Clinton’s, but to Chuck Schumer, Anthony Weiner and John Kerry as well.[3] While the perception of Fox News has been that they represent the conservative view, the truth is that their role has been to shape conservative belief. This is alluded to in Folkenflik’s NPR article. He states that Fox News’ role in shaping conservative thought was unrivaled in media. There is truth to this to a great degree. Sean Hannity and other’s from Fox News, along with other talking heads like Rush Limbaugh, presented the Trump presidency as a brilliant strategy of four-dimensional chess. Every move that Trump made was characterized as a carefully thought out move that would eventually put the left in their place and drain the swamp. How does this reconcile with an owner of the network that has given so much money to the Democrats? Is there something else going on here?
In 2017, MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski took heat for saying, while on the air, that controlling what people think is the job of the media.[4] She attempted to walk this back of course. This statement was made during a conversation about President Trump controlling what his supporters believe. Apparently, she does not like competition. The role of the media, to a large degree, is to control mass perception and the illusion of conflict between two parties largely pursuing the same political agenda. The idea of left and right-wing ideologies is a socially constructed perception designed to keep people trapped in their ways of thinking. As Folkenflik said, Fox News did not represent conservative thought as much as it shaped it. Fox prides itself on being fair and balanced and has its fair share of liberal hosts that represent the other side. This is part of the deception. With the rest of the media being firmly in control of the left, the right was purposefully driven to Fox News where there was still a fair share of liberal content. Fox News did not suddenly shift to the left as much as the intent of Fox News was to gradually shift the opinions of their viewers to the other side. This claim is substantiated in a book called Manufacturing of Consent: the political economy of the mass media. [5]
Fox News, and the balanced approach they claim to take, is part of something called The Propaganda Model. According to Chomsky & Herman, this model of media deliberately allows for a small degree of dissention to present the illusion of autonomy. To make it appear as if the whole media apparatus is not controlled by the same two dozen or so corporations.[6] Questioning of the mainstream agenda, according to Chomsky & Sherman, is kept in check by the presence of the those pushing the government approved narrative. In other words, Fox News is really the only outlet that allows anchors from both the left and the right. The rest of the media is predominately liberal. The point is that the dissenting conservative views on Fox are presented in a narrow, controlled way with defined boundaries and, enough opposition to keep it from growing and disrupting the real agenda. Furthermore, to give some credibility to Folkenflik’s comments on Fox News shaping conservative thought. Chomsky & Sherman state that the role of the media is to fix the ideologies taken for granted by the global elite, but likely rejected by the masses. Determination of the fine-structure constant with an accuracy of 81 parts per trillion

The standard model of particle physics is remarkably successful because it is consistent with (almost) all experimental results. However, it fails to explain dark matter, dark energy and the imbalance between matter and antimatter in the Universe. Because discrepancies between standard-model predictions and experimental observations may provide evidence of new physics, an accurate evaluation of these predictions requires highly precise values of the fundamental physical constants. Among them, the fine-structure constant α is of particular importance because it sets the strength of the electromagnetic interaction between light and charged elementary particles, such as the electron and the muon. Here we use matter-wave interferometry to measure the recoil velocity of a rubidium atom that absorbs a photon, and determine the fine-structure constant α−1 = 137.035999206(11) with a relative accuracy of 81 parts per trillion. The accuracy of eleven digits in α leads to an electron g factor1,2—the most precise prediction of the standard model—that has a greatly reduced uncertainty. Our value of the fine-structure constant differs by more than 5 standard deviations from the best available result from caesium recoil measurements3. Our result modifies the constraints on possible candidate dark-matter particles proposed to explain the anomalous decays of excited states of 8Be nuclei4 and paves the way for testing the discrepancy observed in the magnetic moment anomaly of the muon5 in the electron sector6.The fine-structure constant α is the pillar of our system of fundamen-tal constants. As the measure of the strength of the electromagnetic interaction in the low-energy limit, it has been measured using diverse physical phenomena: the quantum Hall effect, the Josephson effect, the atomic fine structure, atomic recoils and the electron magnetic moment anomaly7. Comparison of results across sub-fields of physics is a powerful test of the consistency between theory and experiment. In particular, the fine-structure constant is a crucial parameter for testing quantum electrodynamics (QED) and the standard model. This test relies on the comparison between the measured value of the electron gyromagnetic anomaly ae = (ge − 2)/2 (where ge is the electron g fac-tor) and its theoretical value. The standard-model prediction ae,SM is dominated by the QED term given by a perturbation series of α/π, and contains additional contributions from hadronic and weak interactions. Numerical and analytical evaluations of the coefficients of the QED series are firmly established up to the eighth order, and the accuracy of the tenth order has been improved over the past years1,2,8. Assuming that the prediction of the standard model is correct, comparison of the theory with the most accurate measurement of the electron magnetic moment9 leads to a value of the fine-structure constant with a relative accuracy of 2.4 × 10−10 dominated by experimental precision9 (see Fig. 1).From a different point of view, to test the prediction of the standard model, we need independent measurements of α with a similar preci-sion to evaluate ae,SM. The most successful independent approach is based on the measurement of the recoil velocity (vr = ħk/m) of an atom of mass m that absorbs a photon of momentum ħk (refs. 10,11). Here ħis the reduced Planck constant (ħ = h/(2π)) and k = 2π/λ is the photon wave vector, where λ is the laser wavelength. Such a measurement yields the ratio h/m and then α via the relationαRcmmhm=2××.(1)2∞eThe Rydberg constant R∞ is determined from hydrogen spectroscopy with an accuracy of 1.9 parts per trillion (ppt; https://pml.nist.gov/cuu/Constants/). The atom-to-electron mass ratio m/me is obtained from the ratio of the relative atomic mass of the atom Ar(m) (known at 69 ppt for rubidium12,13) and the relative atomic mass of the electron Ar(me) (known at 30 ppt)14. The speed of light in vacuum, c, has a fixed value.Here, we present a measurement of the recoil velocity on rubidium atoms. We measured h/m(87Rb) = 4.59135925890(65) × 10−9 m2 s−1. In the international system of units adopted in 2019, in which h has a fixed value, we obtain m(87Rb) = 1.44316089776(21) × 10−25 kg. This is the most accurate atomic mass measurement so far, to our knowledge. In Article 1 of this code we find Election Code 13200, which reads as follows:
“Ballots not printed in accordance with the chapter [Chapter 3] shall not be cast nor counted at any election.”...

In Article 1 of this code we find Election Code 13200, which reads as follows:

That’s straightforward English. It’s at the 9th grade reading level, so assuming California’s election officials can understand it.
When we read a little further, we find Section 13205. Since we’re talking about the election of the President and Vice President, we’ll look at the applicable subsection:
13205 (b). In elections when electors of President and Vice President of the United States are to be chosen, there shall be placed upon the ballot, in addition to the instructions to voters as provided in this chapter, an instruction as follows:
“To vote for all of the electors of a party, mark the voting target next to the names of the presidential and vice presidential candidates of that party. A mark of the voting target next to the name of a party and its presidential and vice presidential candidate, is a vote for all of the electors of that party, but for no other candidates.”
In other words, by California law, the paragraph quoted was supposed to appear on all California ballots. And remember, according to Section 13200, “Ballots not printed in accordance with the chapter [Chapter 3] shall not be cast nor counted at any election.”
And guess what? According to data collected by the American Independent Party in California, those words did not appear on ballots in 53 of California’s 58 counties.
In the remaining five counties, ballots required additional wording that is outlined in California Election Code 12305 (c). Some of those county’s ballots included the wording from section (b), but ballots in all five of those counties were still missing the required wording from section (c).
This means 100 percent of California’s voting was conducted in complete violation of its state election laws...

The COVID-19 pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 has led to over 910,000 deaths worldwide and unprecedented decimation of the global economy. Despite its tremendous impact, the origin of SARS-CoV-2 has remained mysterious and controversial. The natural origin theory, although widely accepted, lacks substantial support. The alternative theory that the virus may have come from a research laboratory is, however, strictly censored on peer-reviewed scientific journals. Nonetheless, SARS-CoV-2 shows biological characteristics that are inconsistent with a naturally occurring, zoonotic virus. In this report, we describe the genomic, structural, medical, and literature evidence, which, when considered together, strongly contradicts the natural origin theory. The evidence shows that SARS-CoV-2 should be a laboratory product created by using bat coronaviruses ZC45 and/or ZXC21 as a template and/or backbone. Building upon the evidence, we further postulate a synthetic route for SARS-CoV-2, demonstrating that the laboratory-creation of this coronavirus is convenient and can be accomplished in approximately six months. Our work emphasizes the need for an independent investigation into the relevant research laboratories. It also argues for a critical look into certain recently published data, which, albeit problematic, was used to support and claim a natural origin of SARS-CoV-2. Abstract
Understanding the degree to which human facial expressions co-vary with specific social contexts across cultures is central to the theory that emotions enable adaptive responses to important challenges and opportunities1,2,3,4,5,6. Concrete evidence linking social context to specific facial expressions is sparse and is largely based on survey-based approaches, which are often constrained by language and small sample sizes7,8,9,10,11,12,13. Here, by applying machine-learning methods to real-world, dynamic behaviour, we ascertain whether naturalistic social contexts (for example, weddings or sporting competitions) are associated with specific facial expressions14 across different cultures. In two experiments using deep neural networks, we examined the extent to which 16 types of facial expression occurred systematically in thousands of contexts in 6 million videos from 144 countries. We found that each kind of facial expression had distinct associations with a set of contexts that were 70% preserved across 12 world regions. Consistent with these associations, regions varied in how frequently different facial expressions were produced as a function of which contexts were most salient. Our results reveal fine-grained patterns in human facial expressions that are preserved across the modern world.

The Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC), a global coalition of lawmakers, obtained the database from an unidentified Chinese dissident, then shared the material with four media organizations, according to a Dec. 12 report by British newspaper The Mail on Dec. 13, which obtained the list and reviewed it.
The Mail found that major aerospace companies Airbus, Rolls-Royce, and Boeing have employed hundreds of CCP members. Additionally, Pfizer and British drugmaker AstraZeneca employed a total of 123 Party members. British automaker Jaguar Land Rover also employed CCP members.
Members of the CCP, “swear oath to ‘guard Party secrets, be loyal to the Party, work hard, fight for communism throughout my life…and never betray the Party'” reports the UK Daily Mail.
CCP loyalists routinely steal corporate secrets and compromise the security and integrity of corporations that might compete against Chinese interests. Also according to the UK Daily Mail, “there were more than 600 party members across 19 branches working at the British banks HSBC and Standard Chartered in 2016.”
The CCP created the coronavirus bioweapon, and we believe that the CCP used its spies to infiltrate and compromise vaccine manufacturers in order to turn coronavirus vaccines into “second wave” bioweapons that will injure or kill very large numbers of people who take the vaccines.

How many CCP loyalists work in Big Tech?

A company that provides voting systems in 28 states uses an Internet technology firm that was hacked.
Dominion Voting Systems uses SolarWinds software, according to a Dominion web page.
SolarWinds does not list Dominion on its partial customer listing but says its products and services are used by more than 300,000 customers around the world, including all five branches of the U.S. military and more than 425 of the U.S. Fortune 500.
The situation with SolarWinds software enabled hackers to gain access to the U.S. Commerce Department and, reportedly, the Treasury Department.
SolarWinds Orion products are currently being exploited by malicious actors, the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Agency (CISA) said. The tactic lets an attacker gain access to network traffic management systems.
The only known mitigation measure currently available is to disconnect affected devices, according to the agency.

We performed a retrospective analysis spanning ten years of pediatric practice focused on patients with variable vaccination born into a practice, presenting a unique opportunity to study the effects of variable vaccination on outcomes. The average total incidence of billed office visits per outcome related to the outcomes were compared across groups (Relative Incidence of Office Visit (RIOV)). RIOV is shown to be more powerful than odds ratio of diagnoses. Full cohort, cumulative incidence analyses, matched for days of care, and matched for family history analyses were conducted across quantiles of vaccine uptake. Increased office visits related to many diagnoses were robust to days-of-care-matched analyses, family history, gender block, age block, and false discovery risk. Many outcomes had high RIOV odds ratios after matching for days-of-care (e.g., anemia (6.334), asthma (3.496), allergic rhinitis (6.479), and sinusitis (3.529), all significant under the Z-test). Developmental disorders were determined to be difficult to study due to extremely low prevalence in the practice, potentially attributable to high rates of vaccine cessation upon adverse events and family history of autoimmunity. Remarkably, zero of the 561 unvaccinated patients in the study had attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) compared to 0.063% of the (partially and fully) vaccinated. The implications of these results for the net public health effects of whole-population vaccination and with respect for informed consent on human health are compelling. Our results give agency to calls for research conducted by individuals who are independent of any funding sources related to the vaccine industry. While the low rates of developmental disorders prevented sufficiently powered hypothesis testing, it is notable that the overall rate of autism spectrum disorder (0.84%) in the cohort is half that of the US national rate (1.69%). The practice-wide rate of ADHD was roughly half of the national rate. The data indicate that unvaccinated children in the practice are not unhealthier than the vaccinated and indeed the overall results may indicate that the unvaccinated pediatric patients in this practice are healthier overall than the vaccinated.

Abstract
As an increasing number of wireless devices are introduced to our daily lives, long-term environmentally stable conductive fabrics that can shield against electromagnetic radiation are increasingly desired. Herein, conventional cotton and linen fabrics were dip-coated in additive-free, aqueous Ti3C2Tx MXene dyes, which consist of only two-dimensional Ti3C2Tx flakes dispersed in water, to fabricate highly conductive fabrics for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. Ti3C2Tx loading and electrical conductivity of the fabrics increased with the number of dip-coating cycles. After only 4 dip-coating cycles, EMI shielding effectiveness (SE) of Ti3C2Tx-coated (<15 wt.%) cotton and linen fabrics reached ∼40 dB over the X-band range. After 24 dip-coating cycles, the total EMI SE was increased to ∼80 dB in Ti3C2Tx-coated cotton (54 wt.%) and linen (48 wt.%) fabrics, which is higher than commercial metal-based conductive fabrics tested in this study. The average EMI SE performance of Ti3C2Tx-coated cotton and linen fabrics only decreased by ∼8% and ∼13%, respectively, after storage under ambient conditions for two years. This work suggests an attractive alternative to current metal-based conductive dyes and provides valuable insights into development of environmentally stable wearable EMI shielding materials.

“W. F. Skinner proudly displays his latest invention, a device that multiplies power in a startling fashion.
Skinner has great hopes for the principle he embodied in his device, which he calls “a gravity power machine”. He said, for example, he believes the machine’s principle could be carried to a point where a one-horsepower motor would provide electricity for a community of 2,500 people at a total cost of only $5 a month.
“Almost any engineer will tell you that what this machine does is impossible” said Skinner, and then proceeded to demonstrate in his workshop here.
His working model of the “gravity power machine” was run by a one-eighth horsepower motor. The device, in turn, operated a heavy-duty, 12-foot lathe, a six-foot drill press and a hack saw from the same shaft at the same time.
Normal Power Cited
“Almost any engineer will tell you that to run even that heavy duty lathe and produce the quarter-inch shavings from a steel bar like it does would take a two-horsepower motor” Skinner said.
The “gravity power machine” consists of a steel framework containing four shafts controlled by eccentrics. On each shaft is an off-balance weight which Skinner said was “about the secret of the whole thing”.
He explained that the shafts, turning in the eccentrics, moved the weights in a circular motion at 60 revolutions per minute. Because the weights are off-balance, he said, they are always “falling”, producing the multiplication of power.
The “falling”, Skinner said, is more correctly a following of the weights to new centers of gravity caused by the changing positions of the shafts. The weights do not actually fall. The one-eighth horsepower electric motor, Skinner said, was used only for power to turn the eccentrics and the “gravity power machine” provided the power, in turn, to operate the shop.
1200 Per Cent Step Up
Skinner estimated the “gravity power machine” would increase the horsepower of a motor about 1200 per cent (12 times). A one horsepower motor, he believed, with a perfected “gravity power machine” to multiple its output, could be made to drive a generator large enough to produce electricity for 3,500 persons. And the operating cost would be only about $5 a month, he estimated. [This suggests that higher gains than “12 times” are possible.]
The machine Skinner exhibited was the fifth he has built in the 14 years he has been “working up the idea”.
A number of engineers have inspected his invention, he said. One of them was A. P. Michaels, a Jackson, Fla., consulting engineer, who gave Skinner a letter describing the machine as “a practical device and will have a definite field where it is necessary to use power to drive equipment. It should result in a very large saving of power needed”.

George C. Estill, electrical engineer and retired president of the Florida Power and Light Company here was another who examined the device but he said his check was not complete enough to allow him to form a conclusion.
Skinner turned to inventing after the collapse of the Florida real estate boom of 1926. He recently perfected a device for recharging dry cell batteries. He collects royalties from several children’s toys and special types of furniture he has invented.
Skinner said some skeptics were inclined to wonder whether his “gravity power machine” was obtaining power from some other source than the one-eighth horsepower motor because the shop was electrically operated. To make the demonstration more convincing, he obtained a one-fifth horsepower gasoline motor manufactured to run model airplanes, which he said he would install to produce the power for the shop.”

Rabbi Yekutiel Fish, a Torah scholar with a Hebrew-language blog called Sod HaChashmal (the secret of the ‘electricity’), used special software to find hidden clues in equidistant letters in the Torah.
“I presented this Torah code to other experts and they all agreed they have never seen one like this for clarity in all of the codes they saw before,” Rabbi Fish said in his Hebrew language video. “It contains a chilling and unmistakable message.”
The rabbi made a graph with each horizontal line containing 1480 letters. The rabbi later explained that the number 1480 came from the name of the pandemic which has shaped current events. The gematria (Hebrew numerology) of the words Covid 19 (קוביד תשע עשרה) is 1467, plus the number of letters in its name (12) equals 1479, plus one (the unified aspect of God, the power behind the pandemic) equals 1480.
Rabbi Fish began with the last letter in the word ‘riv’ (ריב, argument) in Exodus 17:7. Going forward in skips of 1480 letters revealed the series בהתשפא, which means ‘in the year 5781’, the current year according to the Hebrew calendar. The rabbi noted that adjacent to the clue indicating this year was another code spelled out in letters placed 1480 spaces apart, שבט (the Hebrew month Shevat).
It is important to note that the month of Shevat begins this year on January 14, six days before the new president is expected to be inaugurated.
Continuing in the same line with the same equidistance of 1480 letters, code spelled out אבער רוב החי (I will burn most of the living).
Civil War in the US: Precursor to Gog and Magog
The location of this catastrophic event is revealed in the same graph: ח”ול (chul), the common acronym for the words חוץ לארץ (outside of Israel). Rabbi Fish emphasized that this revelation was consistent with the description of the pre-Messianic Battle of Gog and Magog as described by the Prophet Zechariah:

The rabbi explained to Israel365 News that the issue of how to relate to Iran appears to be a single issue dividing Democratic candidate Joe Biden from President Trump, but its implications go deep and have far-reaching implications.
“Associating with Iran means being under the influence of China, socialism, and oppression, and opposing the peace that seems to be sweeping across the globe,” Rabbi Fish said. “It is a hared of Israel which is essentially a hatred of the Torah and Hashem (God, literally ‘the name’).”

Analyses of single-cell RNA sequencing data show that co-expression of ACE2 and TMPRSS2 is elevated in absorptive enterocytes from the inflamed ileal tissues of Crohn disease patients compared to uninflamed tissues, revealing shared pathobiology between COVID-19 and inflammatory bowel disease. Integrative analyses of metabolomics and transcriptomics (bulk and single-cell) data from asthma patients indicate that COVID-19 shares an intermediate inflammatory molecular profile with asthma (including IRAK3 and ADRB2). To prioritize potential treatments, we combined network-based prediction and a propensity score (PS) matching observational study of 26,779 individuals from a COVID-19 registry. We identified that melatonin usage (odds ratio [OR] = 0.72, 95% CI 0.56–0.91) is significantly associated with a 28% reduced likelihood of a positive laboratory test result for SARS-CoV-2 confirmed by reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction assay. Using a PS matching user active comparator design, we determined that melatonin usage was associated with a reduced likelihood of SARS-CoV-2 positive test result compared to use of angiotensin II receptor blockers (OR = 0.70, 95% CI 0.54–0.92) or angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (OR = 0.69, 95% CI 0.52–0.90). Importantly, melatonin usage (OR = 0.48, 95% CI 0.31–0.75) is associated with a 52% reduced likelihood of a positive laboratory test result for SARS-CoV-2 in African Americans after adjusting for age, sex, race, smoking history, and various disease comorbidities using PS matching. In summary, this study presents an integrative network medicine platform for predicting disease manifestations associated with COVID-19 and identifying melatonin for potential prevention and treatment of COVID-19.

The researchers mixed gelatin and glucose to create a flexible film that they sandwiched between conductive material to simulate an electronic device. After bending the simulated electronic device, the team saw breaks in the gelatin-glucose film disappear within 3 hours at room temperature and within 10 minutes when warmed to 140 F. Gelatin without glucose did not self-repair under the same conditions. The glucose-based gelatin also transferred an electrical signal following multiple rounds of damage and repair, with an unexpected improvement to the film’s electrical performance. The experiments show that glucose and gelatin probably form reversible and interlocking imide bonds during the healing process. A Green Strategy for Developing a Self-Healing Gelatin Resistive Memory Device
Abstract
Self-healing gelatin resistive random access memory (RRAM), namely, SHG RRAM, is utilized by incorporating the reversible imine bond as self-healing points into the gelatin. With the reformation of the dynamic imine bonds, the damaged SHG RRAM can repeatedly restore its memory properties after healing at 60 °C. Compared with the pristine SHG RRAM, the SHG RRAM after the healing process exhibits a higher ON/OFF ratio of over 105. This interesting phenomenon could be attributed to the bending and heating process induced C–C sp3 bonds, which consequently decrease the HRS current. In addition, the CAFM images can show that the filament paths occurred at the healed crack edge, leading to usefulness of the cracks in the formation of filament paths. These results repudiated the concept that cracks due to bending can reduce the performance of electronics. Moreover, the SHG RRAM after the healing process shows reproducible resistive switching, acceptable electrical uniformity, and stable retention characteristics. The self-healing gelatin material could provide a potential opportunity for the future development of biopolymers used in smart electronics applications.

Abstract
The practical application of raw biomass in high-performance supercapacitors is mainly hindered by virtue of their relatively rare efficient storage sites and low diffusion kinetics. Herein, hierarchical porous carbons (HPCs) are synthesized from heavy fraction of bio-oil (HB) based on a hard-template method accompanied by different NaOH activation temperatures. Thanks to the favorable 3D-interconnected hierarchical porous structure, ultrahigh specific surface area (3095 m2 g−1), large total pore volume (1.66 cm3 g−1), as well as reasonable content of oxygen atoms (7.83 at. %), CSB-800 delivers a prominent gravimetric specific capacitance of 351 F g−1 (0.5 A g−1), which is considerably superior or at least comparable than previously reported for other biomass-based materials. In addition, the assembled CSB-800//CSB-800 symmetric supercapacitors can reach a superior energy density of 20 W h kg−1 at a power density of 350 W kg−1 (0.5 A g−1). The route proposed for preparing HB-based HPCs broadens a new horizon in exploring large-scale synthesis of electrode materials from industrial by-product and kitchen waste.

More than just a spicy night snack, the crayfish has been endowed with greater significance. Prof. Zhu Xifeng's team from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) made it possible to use crayfish shell as the biological template for high-performance supercapacitors. This work was published in Carbon.
Compared with other high-performance materials, biomass has long been regarded as a promising one for its environmental-friendliness and wide availability. However, practical application of biomass is restricted by relatively rare efficient storage sites, low diffusion kinetics and the need for huge amount of premade nano templates.
To solve these problems, the researchers innovatively introduced crayfish shells to initiate the biological template.
Shells were dried, ground and pretreated in an alkaline solution to retrieve templates, which were then mixed with the heavy fraction of bio-oil derived from agricultural waste to manufacture hierarchical porous carbons, a kind of supercapacitor material.
The mixed product delivered very good capacitance of 351 F/g thanks to its ultrahigh specific surface area, large total pore volume and reasonable content of oxygen atoms, which are of importance to a capacitor.
Besides, the symmetric supercapacitors assembled by the synthetic samples showed a superior energy density of 20 Wh/kg at a power density of 350W/kg, preceding other biomass materials.
This method possesses an environmentally friendly solution for the power storage problem of the rapidly growing market for wearable displays, electric vehicles and smartphones.

The following is a small excerpt from chapter seven in my upcoming book, which I may call, Taken without a shot. It examines the relationship between behaviorism, critical theory, persuasive communications and how the media carefully constructs a fear message designed to control our behavior. The title alludes to the famous quote by Nikita Khrushchev where he proudly said America would be taken without a shot. It is my contention that the meaning behind this quote was based on the knowledge of human behavior being easily manipulated.
People are growing increasingly suspicious of the mainstream media. For so long it was believed that there was a distinct split between the left and right when it came to news broadcasts. CNN and MSNBC for example, are considered extremely left wing as they do little more than spew propaganda that reinforces the government supported narrative. Fox news, on the other hand, has enjoyed the popular support of the conservative right as they have been viewed as being pro-America, and more importantly, Pro-Trump. That is until they started calling the election in favor of Biden in a way that conservatives considered to be too soon. [1]
Unfortunately, the perceived left right paradigm between the MSNBC, CNN and Fox News is little more than an illusion. Fox News is owned by the Murdoch family and in July of 2020, Rupert’s son James and his wife donated 1.2 million dollars to the Biden campaign.[2] Furthermore, Rupert himself donated large sums of money to not only the Clinton’s, but to Chuck Schumer, Anthony Weiner and John Kerry as well.[3] While the perception of Fox News has been that they represent the conservative view, the truth is that their role has been to shape conservative belief. This is alluded to in Folkenflik’s NPR article. He states that Fox News’ role in shaping conservative thought was unrivaled in media. There is truth to this to a great degree. Sean Hannity and other’s from Fox News, along with other talking heads like Rush Limbaugh, presented the Trump presidency as a brilliant strategy of four-dimensional chess. Every move that Trump made was characterized as a carefully thought out move that would eventually put the left in their place and drain the swamp. How does this reconcile with an owner of the network that has given so much money to the Democrats? Is there something else going on here?
In 2017, MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski took heat for saying, while on the air, that controlling what people think is the job of the media.[4] She attempted to walk this back of course. This statement was made during a conversation about President Trump controlling what his supporters believe. Apparently, she does not like competition. The role of the media, to a large degree, is to control mass perception and the illusion of conflict between two parties largely pursuing the same political agenda. The idea of left and right-wing ideologies is a socially constructed perception designed to keep people trapped in their ways of thinking. As Folkenflik said, Fox News did not represent conservative thought as much as it shaped it. Fox prides itself on being fair and balanced and has its fair share of liberal hosts that represent the other side. This is part of the deception. With the rest of the media being firmly in control of the left, the right was purposefully driven to Fox News where there was still a fair share of liberal content. Fox News did not suddenly shift to the left as much as the intent of Fox News was to gradually shift the opinions of their viewers to the other side. This claim is substantiated in a book called Manufacturing of Consent: the political economy of the mass media. [5]
Fox News, and the balanced approach they claim to take, is part of something called The Propaganda Model. According to Chomsky & Herman, this model of media deliberately allows for a small degree of dissention to present the illusion of autonomy. To make it appear as if the whole media apparatus is not controlled by the same two dozen or so corporations.[6] Questioning of the mainstream agenda, according to Chomsky & Sherman, is kept in check by the presence of the those pushing the government approved narrative. In other words, Fox News is really the only outlet that allows anchors from both the left and the right. The rest of the media is predominately liberal. The point is that the dissenting conservative views on Fox are presented in a narrow, controlled way with defined boundaries and, enough opposition to keep it from growing and disrupting the real agenda. Furthermore, to give some credibility to Folkenflik’s comments on Fox News shaping conservative thought. Chomsky & Sherman state that the role of the media is to fix the ideologies taken for granted by the global elite, but likely rejected by the masses. This suggests that the role of the media is to do exactly as Brzezinski stated, tell us what we are supposed to think...

Determination of the fine-structure constant with an accuracy of 81 parts per trillion

The standard model of particle physics is remarkably successful because it is consistent with (almost) all experimental results. However, it fails to explain dark matter, dark energy and the imbalance between matter and antimatter in the Universe. Because discrepancies between standard-model predictions and experimental observations may provide evidence of new physics, an accurate evaluation of these predictions requires highly precise values of the fundamental physical constants. Among them, the fine-structure constant α is of particular importance because it sets the strength of the electromagnetic interaction between light and charged elementary particles, such as the electron and the muon. Here we use matter-wave interferometry to measure the recoil velocity of a rubidium atom that absorbs a photon, and determine the fine-structure constant α−1 = 137.035999206(11) with a relative accuracy of 81 parts per trillion. The accuracy of eleven digits in α leads to an electron g factor1,2—the most precise prediction of the standard model—that has a greatly reduced uncertainty. Our value of the fine-structure constant differs by more than 5 standard deviations from the best available result from caesium recoil measurements3. Our result modifies the constraints on possible candidate dark-matter particles proposed to explain the anomalous decays of excited states of 8Be nuclei4 and paves the way for testing the discrepancy observed in the magnetic moment anomaly of the muon5 in the electron sector6.The fine-structure constant α is the pillar of our system of fundamen-tal constants. As the measure of the strength of the electromagnetic interaction in the low-energy limit, it has been measured using diverse physical phenomena: the quantum Hall effect, the Josephson effect, the atomic fine structure, atomic recoils and the electron magnetic moment anomaly7. Comparison of results across sub-fields of physics is a powerful test of the consistency between theory and experiment. In particular, the fine-structure constant is a crucial parameter for testing quantum electrodynamics (QED) and the standard model. This test relies on the comparison between the measured value of the electron gyromagnetic anomaly ae = (ge − 2)/2 (where ge is the electron g fac-tor) and its theoretical value. The standard-model prediction ae,SM is dominated by the QED term given by a perturbation series of α/π, and contains additional contributions from hadronic and weak interactions. Numerical and analytical evaluations of the coefficients of the QED series are firmly established up to the eighth order, and the accuracy of the tenth order has been improved over the past years1,2,8. Assuming that the prediction of the standard model is correct, comparison of the theory with the most accurate measurement of the electron magnetic moment9 leads to a value of the fine-structure constant with a relative accuracy of 2.4 × 10−10 dominated by experimental precision9 (see Fig. 1).From a different point of view, to test the prediction of the standard model, we need independent measurements of α with a similar preci-sion to evaluate ae,SM. That’s straightforward English. It’s at the 9th grade reading level, so assuming California’s election officials can understand it.
When we read a little further, we find Section 13205. Since we’re talking about the election of the President and Vice President, we’ll look at the applicable subsection:
13205 (b). In elections when electors of President and Vice President of the United States are to be chosen, there shall be placed upon the ballot, in addition to the instructions to voters as provided in this chapter, an instruction as follows:
“To vote for all of the electors of a party, mark the voting target next to the names of the presidential and vice presidential candidates of that party. A mark of the voting target next to the name of a party and its presidential and vice presidential candidate, is a vote for all of the electors of that party, but for no other candidates.”
In other words, by California law, the paragraph quoted was supposed to appear on all California ballots. And remember, according to Section 13200, “Ballots not printed in accordance with the chapter [Chapter 3] shall not be cast nor counted at any election.”
And guess what? According to data collected by the American Independent Party in California, those words did not appear on ballots in 53 of California’s 58 counties.
In the remaining five counties, ballots required additional wording that is outlined in California Election Code 12305 (c). Some of those county’s ballots included the wording from section (b), but ballots in all five of those counties were still missing the required wording from section (c).
This means 100 percent of California’s voting was conducted in complete violation of its state election laws...

Building upon the evidence, we further postulate a synthetic route for SARS-CoV-2, demonstrating that the laboratory-creation of this coronavirus is convenient and can be accomplished in approximately six months. Understanding the degree to which human facial expressions co-vary with specific social contexts across cultures is central to the theory that emotions enable adaptive responses to important challenges and opportunities1,2,3,4,5,6. Concrete evidence linking social context to specific facial expressions is sparse and is largely based on survey-based approaches, which are often constrained by language and small sample sizes7,8,9,10,11,12,13. Here, by applying machine-learning methods to real-world, dynamic behaviour, we ascertain whether naturalistic social contexts (for example, weddings or sporting competitions) are associated with specific facial expressions14 across different cultures. In two experiments using deep neural networks, we examined the extent to which 16 types of facial expression occurred systematically in thousands of contexts in 6 million videos from 144 countries. We found that each kind of facial expression had distinct associations with a set of contexts that were 70% preserved across 12 world regions. Consistent with these associations, regions varied in how frequently different facial expressions were produced as a function of which contexts were most salient. Our results reveal fine-grained patterns in human facial expressions that are preserved across the modern world.

The Mail found that major aerospace companies Airbus, Rolls-Royce, and Boeing have employed hundreds of CCP members. Additionally, Pfizer and British drugmaker AstraZeneca employed a total of 123 Party members. British automaker Jaguar Land Rover also employed CCP members.

Dominion Voting Systems uses SolarWinds software, according to a Dominion web page.
SolarWinds does not list Dominion on its partial customer listing but says its products and services are used by more than 300,000 customers around the world, including all five branches of the U.S. military and more than 425 of the U.S. Fortune 500.
The situation with SolarWinds software enabled hackers to gain access to the U.S. Commerce Department and, reportedly, the Treasury Department.
SolarWinds Orion products are currently being exploited by malicious actors, the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Agency (CISA) said. The tactic lets an attacker gain access to network traffic management systems.
The only known mitigation measure currently available is to disconnect affected devices, according to the agency.
SolarWinds recommended customers upgrade their Orion platform to a recent version. If customers aren’t able to upgrade immediately, they were urged to disable Internet access for the platform and limit ports and connections to only what is necessary. A patch is expected on Tuesday...

AbstractWe performed a retrospective analysis spanning ten years of pediatric practice focused on patients with variable vaccination born into a practice, presenting a unique opportunity to study the effects of variable vaccination on outcomes. The average total incidence of billed office visits per outcome related to the outcomes were compared across groups (Relative Incidence of Office Visit (RIOV)). RIOV is shown to be more powerful than odds ratio of diagnoses. Full cohort, cumulative incidence analyses, matched for days of care, and matched for family history analyses were conducted across quantiles of vaccine uptake. Increased office visits related to many diagnoses were robust to days-of-care-matched analyses, family history, gender block, age block, and false discovery risk. Many outcomes had high RIOV odds ratios after matching for days-of-care (e.g., anemia (6.334), asthma (3.496), allergic rhinitis (6.479), and sinusitis (3.529), all significant under the Z-test). Developmental disorders were determined to be difficult to study due to extremely low prevalence in the practice, potentially attributable to high rates of vaccine cessation upon adverse events and family history of autoimmunity. Remarkably, zero of the 561 unvaccinated patients in the study had attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) compared to 0.063% of the (partially and fully) vaccinated. The implications of these results for the net public health effects of whole-population vaccination and with respect for informed consent on human health are compelling. Our results give agency to calls for research conducted by individuals who are independent of any funding sources related to the vaccine industry. While the low rates of developmental disorders prevented sufficiently powered hypothesis testing, it is notable that the overall rate of autism spectrum disorder (0.84%) in the cohort is half that of the US national rate (1.69%). The practice-wide rate of ADHD was roughly half of the national rate. The data indicate that unvaccinated children in the practice are not unhealthier than the vaccinated and indeed the overall results may indicate that the unvaccinated pediatric patients in this practice are healthier overall than the vaccinated.

Abstract
As an increasing number of wireless devices are introduced to our daily lives, long-term environmentally stable conductive fabrics that can shield against electromagnetic radiation are increasingly desired. Herein, conventional cotton and linen fabrics were dip-coated in additive-free, aqueous Ti3C2Tx MXene dyes, which consist of only two-dimensional Ti3C2Tx flakes dispersed in water, to fabricate highly conductive fabrics for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding. Ti3C2Tx loading and electrical conductivity of the fabrics increased with the number of dip-coating cycles. After only 4 dip-coating cycles, EMI shielding effectiveness (SE) of Ti3C2Tx-coated (<15 wt.%) cotton and linen fabrics reached ∼40 dB over the X-band range. After 24 dip-coating cycles, the total EMI SE was increased to ∼80 dB in Ti3C2Tx-coated cotton (54 wt.%) and linen (48 wt.%) fabrics, which is higher than commercial metal-based conductive fabrics tested in this study. The average EMI SE performance of Ti3C2Tx-coated cotton and linen fabrics only decreased by ∼8% and ∼13%, respectively, after storage under ambient conditions for two years. This work suggests an attractive alternative to current metal-based conductive dyes and provides valuable insights into development of environmentally stable wearable EMI shielding materials.

“W. F. Skinner proudly displays his latest invention, a device that multiplies power in a startling fashion.
Skinner has great hopes for the principle he embodied in his device, which he calls “a gravity power machine”. He said, for example, he believes the machine’s principle could be carried to a point where a one-horsepower motor would provide electricity for a community of 2,500 people at a total cost of only $5 a month.
“Almost any engineer will tell you that what this machine does is impossible” said Skinner, and then proceeded to demonstrate in his workshop here.
His working model of the “gravity power machine” was run by a one-eighth horsepower motor. The device, in turn, operated a heavy-duty, 12-foot lathe, a six-foot drill press and a hack saw from the same shaft at the same time.

“Almost any engineer will tell you that to run even that heavy duty lathe and produce the quarter-inch shavings from a steel bar like it does would take a two-horsepower motor” Skinner said.
The “gravity power machine” consists of a steel framework containing four shafts controlled by eccentrics. On each shaft is an off-balance weight which Skinner said was “about the secret of the whole thing”.
He explained that the shafts, turning in the eccentrics, moved the weights in a circular motion at 60 revolutions per minute. Because the weights are off-balance, he said, they are always “falling”, producing the multiplication of power.
The “falling”, Skinner said, is more correctly a following of the weights to new centers of gravity caused by the changing positions of the shafts. The weights do not actually fall. The one-eighth horsepower electric motor, Skinner said, was used only for power to turn the eccentrics and the “gravity power machine” provided the power, in turn, to operate the shop.
1200 Per Cent Step Up
Skinner estimated the “gravity power machine” would increase the horsepower of a motor about 1200 per cent (12 times). A one horsepower motor, he believed, with a perfected “gravity power machine” to multiple its output, could be made to drive a generator large enough to produce electricity for 3,500 persons. And the operating cost would be only about $5 a month, he estimated. [This suggests that higher gains than “12 times” are possible.]
The machine Skinner exhibited was the fifth he has built in the 14 years he has been “working up the idea”.
A number of engineers have inspected his invention, he said. One of them was A. P. Michaels, a Jackson, Fla., consulting engineer, who gave Skinner a letter describing the machine as “a practical device and will have a definite field where it is necessary to use power to drive equipment. It should result in a very large saving of power needed”.

George C. Estill, electrical engineer and retired president of the Florida Power and Light Company here was another who examined the device but he said his check was not complete enough to allow him to form a conclusion.
Skinner turned to inventing after the collapse of the Florida real estate boom of 1926. He recently perfected a device for recharging dry cell batteries. He collects royalties from several children’s toys and special types of furniture he has invented.
Skinner said some skeptics were inclined to wonder whether his “gravity power machine” was obtaining power from some other source than the one-eighth horsepower motor because the shop was electrically operated. To make the demonstration more convincing, he obtained a one-fifth horsepower gasoline motor manufactured to run model airplanes, which he said he would install to produce the power for the shop.”

Torah Code Revealing Civil War
Rabbi Yekutiel Fish, a Torah scholar with a Hebrew-language blog called Sod HaChashmal (the secret of the ‘electricity’), used special software to find hidden clues in equidistant letters in the Torah.
“I presented this Torah code to other experts and they all agreed they have never seen one like this for clarity in all of the codes they saw before,” Rabbi Fish said in his Hebrew language video. “It contains a chilling and unmistakable message.”
The rabbi made a graph with each horizontal line containing 1480 letters. The rabbi later explained that the number 1480 came from the name of the pandemic which has shaped current events. The gematria (Hebrew numerology) of the words Covid 19 (קוביד תשע עשרה) is 1467, plus the number of letters in its name (12) equals 1479, plus one (the unified aspect of God, the power behind the pandemic) equals 1480.
Rabbi Fish began with the last letter in the word ‘riv’ (ריב, argument) in Exodus 17:7. Going forward in skips of 1480 letters revealed the series בהתשפא, which means ‘in the year 5781’, the current year according to the Hebrew calendar. The rabbi noted that adjacent to the clue indicating this year was another code spelled out in letters placed 1480 spaces apart, שבט (the Hebrew month Shevat).
It is important to note that the month of Shevat begins this year on January 14, six days before the new president is expected to be inaugurated.
Continuing in the same line with the same equidistance of 1480 letters, code spelled out אבער רוב החי (I will burn most of the living).
Civil War in the US: Precursor to Gog and Magog
The location of this catastrophic event is revealed in the same graph: ח”ול (chul), the common acronym for the words חוץ לארץ (outside of Israel). Rabbi Fish emphasized that this revelation was consistent with the description of the pre-Messianic Battle of Gog and Magog as described by the Prophet Zechariah:

The rabbi explained to Israel365 News that the issue of how to relate to Iran appears to be a single issue dividing Democratic candidate Joe Biden from President Trump, but its implications go deep and have far-reaching implications.
“Associating with Iran means being under the influence of China, socialism, and oppression, and opposing the peace that seems to be sweeping across the globe,” Rabbi Fish said. “It is a hared of Israel which is essentially a hatred of the Torah and Hashem (God, literally ‘the name’).”
“These issues are what really divides the US now,” the rabbi explained.

The global coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has led to unprecedented social and economic consequences. The risk of morbidity and mortality due to COVID-19 increases dramatically in the presence of coexisting medical conditions, while the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Furthermore, there are no approved therapies for COVID-19. This study aims to identify SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis, disease manifestations, and COVID-19 therapies using network medicine methodologies along with clinical and multi-omics observations. We incorporate SARS-CoV-2 virus–host protein–protein interactions, transcriptomics, and proteomics into the human interactome. Network proximity measurement revealed underlying pathogenesis for broad COVID-19-associated disease manifestations. Analyses of single-cell RNA sequencing data show that co-expression of ACE2 and TMPRSS2 is elevated in absorptive enterocytes from the inflamed ileal tissues of Crohn disease patients compared to uninflamed tissues, revealing shared pathobiology between COVID-19 and inflammatory bowel disease. Integrative analyses of metabolomics and transcriptomics (bulk and single-cell) data from asthma patients indicate that COVID-19 shares an intermediate inflammatory molecular profile with asthma (including IRAK3 and ADRB2). To prioritize potential treatments, we combined network-based prediction and a propensity score (PS) matching observational study of 26,779 individuals from a COVID-19 registry. We identified that melatonin usage (odds ratio [OR] = 0.72, 95% CI 0.56–0.91) is significantly associated with a 28% reduced likelihood of a positive laboratory test result for SARS-CoV-2 confirmed by reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction assay. Using a PS matching user active comparator design, we determined that melatonin usage was associated with a reduced likelihood of SARS-CoV-2 positive test result compared to use of angiotensin II receptor blockers (OR = 0.70, 95% CI 0.54–0.92) or angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (OR = 0.69, 95% CI 0.52–0.90). Importantly, melatonin usage (OR = 0.48, 95% CI 0.31–0.75) is associated with a 52% reduced likelihood of a positive laboratory test result for SARS-CoV-2 in African Americans after adjusting for age, sex, race, smoking history, and various disease comorbidities using PS matching. In summary, this study presents an integrative network medicine platform for predicting disease manifestations associated with COVID-19 and identifying melatonin for potential prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
