In 2013, biologist Dr.
Brian Hooker received a call from a
U.S. Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) senior scientist who
in 2004 led the agency’s then-pivotal,
now-questionable study on the
Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) vaccine
and its possible link to autism.
The scientist, Dr. William Thompson,
confessed to Dr. Hooker that the CDC
had omitted from its final MMR report
critical data that revealed an

several months, Dr. Hooker recorded
the phone calls made to him by Dr.
Thompson, who provided confidential
data that his CDC colleagues had
destroyed—but that he had secretly

Dr. Andrew Wakefield, the British
gastroenterologist who had been
falsely accused of purposefully
starting an anti-vaccination campaign
in 1998 with his research paper on a

appeared to develop in children who
had received the MMR vaccine.
Ever the champion of children's health
and frustrated that the news media
were refusing to report on the CDC
whistleblower's appalling admission,
Dr. Wakefield decided that the way to
spread the explosive story far and
wide was to direct a film on the
subject. The result was the 2016
release of VAXXED: FROM COVER-UP TO
CATASTROPHE, which examines the
evidence behind the cruel conspiracy
committed by the government agency
charged with protecting the health of
American citizens.
VAXXED was accepted into and announced
in the lineup of the 2016 Tribeca Film
Festival with the support of
co-founder Robert De Niro, whose
then-wife believed that vaccinations
had been a factor in their son’s
diagnosis of autism. Then, amid
unprecedented controversy and demands
that it censor the film, Tribeca caved
and pulled VAXXED from the lineup.
Later, De Niro had a change of heart:
He endorsed VAXXED in several
television appearances and suggested,
“Everyone should see this film and
make up their own mind.”
On April 1, 2016, VAXXED premiered in
New York City's prestigious Angelika
Film Center to sold-out audiences. It
continued its Manhattan run for
several weeks and at the same time,
launched a national release that
grossed over $1.4 million at the box
office.
Following its theatrical debut, VAXXED
opened up to an on-demand audience.
There were more than 400 screenings
across the U.S. and in several other
countries at sold-out theaters and
events. The documentary was also
streamed and released on DVD, with the
DVD often trending above several newly
released blockbuster films on Amazon
charts.
Starting with VAXXED's initial release
at the Angelika, parents of
vaccine-injured children have
tearfully approached its producer,
Polly Tommey, whose story and son
Billy are featured in the film.
Naturally, they long to tell their own
heartrending stories to a sympathetic
ear. They include parents who are
being called "crazy" by their
pediatricians for daring to link their
children's unusual symptoms to recent
vaccine injections they received. They
include parents whose doctors view
their vaccine-injured child as an
obligatory one-in-a-million
sacrificial lamb for herd immunity.
They include parents who for months,
if not years, have felt alone,
censored, bullied, terrified, trapped
in their cells of silence. Finally,
these parents have somewhere to go,
someone to talk to, someone who
understands them and embraces them.
Recognizing that censorship of this
already-marginalized community would
only worsen, Tommey instinctively took
out her cell phone as these parents
stood in line to see VAXXED. She began
to live-stream their simple but
powerful words as they spoke of being
daily eyewitnesses to their children's
sudden or slow deterioration—and, not
infrequently, to their death.
By the end of the film's premiere
month, Tommey had taken to the road.
She and the rest of the "VAXXED
Nation" bus team began travelling the
country, stopping in hundreds of
cities and towns, and documenting
thousands of stories of men, women,
and children who have experienced or
been first-hand witnesses to vaccine
injury. Mixed in with these tragic
tales have been accounts told through
the eyes and hearts of compassionate
doctors who have done their best to
treat the vaccine-injured.
The people who comprise this movement
are often disparagingly dubbed
anti-vaxxers. What they really are—and
what they insist on being called—is
"ex-vaxxers." The latter term
indicates they were once in favor of
vaccinations—had once received shots
themselves and/or had given permission
(though generally it was not informed
consent) for their children to receive
shots. And they had found out, the
excruciatingly hard way, that the
risk-benefit ratio was not at all what
they'd been led to believe.
In four years, Polly and her
colleagues on the "VAXXED Nation" bus
tour have consoled thousands of
vaccine-injured Americans and their
loved ones. In that time, the panels
of the beautiful black bus have
garnered some 7,000 signatures from
victims of vaccines and from those who
have borne witness to a family
member's vaccine-caused devastation.

Abstract
Accurate medical
recordkeeping is a major challenge in many
low-resource settings where
well-maintained centralized databases do
not exist, contributing to 1.5 million
vaccine-preventable deaths annually. Here,
we present an approach to encode medical
history on a patient using the spatial
distribution of biocompatible,
near-infrared quantum dots (NIR QDs) in
the dermis. QDs are invisible to the naked
eye yet detectable when exposed to NIR
light. QDs with a copper indium selenide
core and aluminum-doped zinc sulfide shell
were tuned to emit in the NIR spectrum by
controlling stoichiometry and shelling
time. The formulation showing the greatest
resistance to photobleaching after
simulated sunlight exposure (5-year
equivalence) through pigmented human skin
was encapsulated in microparticles for use
in vivo. In parallel, microneedle geometry
was optimized in silico and validated ex
vivo using porcine and synthetic human
skin. QD-containing microparticles were
then embedded in dissolvable microneedles
and administered to rats with or without a
vaccine. Longitudinal in vivo imaging
using a smartphone adapted to detect NIR
light demonstrated that
microneedle-delivered QD patterns remained
bright and could be accurately identified
using a machine learning algorithm 9
months after application. In addition,
codelivery with inactivated poliovirus
vaccine produced neutralizing antibody
titers above the threshold considered
protective. These findings suggest that
intradermal QDs can be used to reliably
encode information and can be delivered
with a vaccine, which may be particularly
valuable in the developing world and open
up new avenues for decentralized data
storage and biosensing.

As a person who went to
medical school, I was shocked when I read Neil
Orr’s study, published in 1981 in the Annals
of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Dr. Orr was a surgeon in the Severalls
Surgical Unit in Colchester. And for six
months, from March through August 1980, the
surgeons and staff in that unit decided to see
what would happen if they did not wear masks
during surgeries.
They wore no masks for six months and compared
the rate of surgical wound infections from
March through August 1980 with the rate of
wound infections from March through August of
the previous four years.
And they discovered, to their amazement, that
when nobody wore masks during surgeries, the
rate of wound infections was less than half
what it was when everyone wore masks.
Their conclusion: “It would appear that
minimum contamination can best be achieved by
not wearing a mask at all” and that wearing a
mask during surgery “is a standard procedure
that could be abandoned.”...

8 rooms and a hallway. The bacterial counts in
an empty operating room jumped statistically
from 13 CFU/ft2/hr (+/- 31) to 24.8 (+/- 58.8)
when the doors were left open (people in the
hallways) and 447.3 (+/- 186.7) when 5 people
were introduced. The wearing of a surgical
face mask had no effect upon the overall
operating room environmental contamination and
probably work only to redirect the projectile
effect of talking and breathing. People are
the major source of environmental
contamination in the operating room.

To examine the efficacy of
currently used synthetic-fiber disposable face
masks in protecting wounds from contamination,
human albumin microspheres were employed as
"tracer particles," and applied to the
interior of the fact mask during 20
operations. At the termination of each
operation, wound irrigates were examined under
the microscope. Particle contamination of the
wound was demonstrated in all experients.
Since the microspheres were not identified on
the exterior of these face masks, they must
have escaped around the mask edges and found
their way into the wound. The wearing of the
mask beneath the headgear curtails this route
of contamination.

Although cardiac
catheterization‐related infections are rare,
caps and masks are often worn to minimize this
complication. However, documentation of the
value of caps and masks for this purpose is
lacking. We, therefore, prospectively
evaluated the experience of 504 patients
undergoing percutaneous left heart
catheterization, seeking evidence of a
relationship between whether caps and/or masks
were worn by the operators and the incidence
of infection. No infections were found in any
patient, regardless of whether a cap or mask
was used. Thus, we found no evidence that caps
or masks need to be worn during percutaneous
cardiac catheterization.

Abstract
It has never been shown that
wearing surgical face masks decreases
postoperative wound infections. On the
contrary, a 50% decrease has been reported
after omitting face masks. The present study
was designed to reveal any 30% or greater
difference in general surgery wound infection
rates by using face masks or not.
During 115 weeks, a total of 3,088 patients
were included in the study. Weeks were denoted
as “masked” or “unmasked” according to a
random list. After 1,537 operations performed
with face masks, 73 (4.7%) wound infections
were recorded and, after 1,551 operations
performed without face masks, 55 (3.5%)
infections occurred. This difference was not
statistically significant (p> 0.05) and the
bacterial species cultured from the wound
infections did not differ in any way, which
would have supported the fact that the
numerical difference was a statistically
“missed” difference.
These results indicate that the use of face
masks might be reconsidered. Masks may be used
to protect the operating team from drops of
infected blood and from airborne infections,
but have not been proven to protect the
patient operated by a healthy operating team.

important questions as to whether pre-morbid
use or continued administration of inhaled
corticosteroids (ICS) affects the outcomes of
acute respiratory infections due to
coronavirus. Many physicians are concerned
about whether individuals positive for
SARS-CoV-2 and taking ICS should continue
them, or stop them, given that ICS are often
regarded as immunosuppressive. A number of key
questions arise: are people with asthma or
COPD at increased risk of developing COVID-19;
do ICS modify this risk, either increasing or
decreasing it; and do ICS influence the
clinical course of COVID-19(fig. 1). Whether
ICS modify the risk of developing COVID-19 or
the clinical course of COVID-19 in people who
do not have lung disease should also be
considered (fig. 1).

MAS, is an assistant professor in the School
of Medicine at the University of California,
San Francisco. He studies the impact of
aerosolized/inhaled corticosteroids such as
budesonide on ACE receptors. These ACE
receptors are responsible for SARS-CoV-2, the
novel coronavirus, entering human cells.
Peters warned against blanket claims about
inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) preventing
COVID-19. However, he also noted that these
medications might indeed prove to be
beneficial with further study.
“Inhaled corticosteroids are an effective and
well-established treatment for asthma, but any
claims regarding efficacy to treat or prevent
the develop(ment) of Covid-19 infection are
not supported by the currently available
scientific data,” he said.
Peters added:
However, it is possible
that ICS could be beneficial in CV19 disease
and it is very reasonable to pursue clinical
trials that test the potential for ICS to
treat or prevent CV19 disease. There are
currently multiple trials that have been
developed to test this hypothesis, some of
which are actively recruiting subjects. To my
knowledge there is no data from randomized
controlled trials for the efficacy of ICS for
the treatment of CV19.,,..
ICS do have some potential side effects, most
commonly the development of thrust (a fungal
throat infection), sore throat, hoarse voice,
and in certain patient populations there is a
slight increase in the risk of developing
bacterial pneumonias. In addition, the recent
Recovery trial that was conducted in the UK
demonstrated that treatment with dexamethasone
(a systemic corticosteroid) in patients not on
oxygen might increase the risk of worse CV19
disease. So it is reasonable to be concerned
that ICS could have negative consequences if
given to non asthma patients without CV19
infection. Future studies need to be conducted
to further understand these possible risks...

The initial symptoms described
in the first cases of COVID-19 were mainly
fever and respiratory signs. Recently, there
has been an increase in cases of hyposmia
without associated nasal obstruction or
rhinorrhea. Although we do not yet know the
long-term consequences of COVID-19 on
olfaction, there is evidence in the literature
demonstrating that post-viral hyposmias are an
important source of long-term olfactory
disorders, impacting quality of life.
Usually, the treatment of viral hyposmias is
based on local and/or general corticosteroid
treatment combined with saline nasal
irrigation at the onset of signs. Because of
the possible development of severe forms of
the SARS-Cov-2 infection, the French Society
of Otorhinolaryngology has advised against
treatment by corticosteroid therapy and nasal
irrigation. However, as the virus is present
in the nasal fossae on average for 20 days,
persistent hyposmia at 30 days would probably
result from an inflammatory or neurological
damage to the nasal slits or olfactory bulb.
Local treatment with corticosteroids could
then be instituted from 30 days after the
onset of symptoms of COVID-19 without risk of
dissemination.
In persistent hyposmia other than chronic
rhinosinusitis, the only treatment that has
proven its efficacy is nasal irrigation
associated with budesonide and olfactory
rehabilitation. However, this drug does not
have marketing authorisation in France for
this indication.

Abstract
Locust plagues threaten agricultural and
environmental safety throughout the world1,2.
Aggregation pheromones have a crucial role in
the transition of locusts from a solitary form
to the devastating gregarious form and the
formation of large-scale swarms3,4. However,
none of the candidate compounds reported5,6,7
meet all the criteria for a locust aggregation
pheromone. Here, using behavioural assays,
electrophysiological recording, olfactory
receptor characterization and field
experiments, we demonstrate that
4-vinylanisole (4VA) (also known as
4-methoxystyrene) is an aggregation pheromone
of the migratory locust (Locusta migratoria).
Both gregarious and solitary locusts are
strongly attracted to 4VA, regardless of age
and sex. Although it is emitted specifically
by gregarious locusts, 4VA production can be
triggered by aggregation of four to five
solitary locusts. It elicits responses
specifically from basiconic sensilla on locust
antennae. We also identified OR35 as a
specific olfactory receptor of 4VA. Knockout
of OR35 using CRISPR–Cas9 markedly reduced the
electrophysiological responses of the antennae
and impaired 4VA behavioural attractiveness.
Finally, field trapping experiments verified
the attractiveness of 4VA to experimental and
wild populations. These findings identify a
locust aggregation pheromone and provide
insights for the development of novel control
strategies for locusts.

Abstract
Sexual contact carries some risk for exposure
to infection with severe acute respiratory
syndrome coronavirus 2 during the coronavirus
disease 2019 pandemic. This commentary
provides clinicians with guidance on how to
address sexual health and activity with
patients in this context.
More than 200 000 people have died of severe
acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2
(SARS-CoV-2) infection, leading to widespread
concern regarding physical morbidity and
mortality. The sexual health implications,
however, have received little focus. On the
basis of existing data, it appears all forms
of in-person sexual contact carry risk for
viral transmission, because the virus is
readily transmitted by aerosols and fomites.
This has resulted in broad guidance regarding
physical distancing, with substantial
implications for sexual well-being. Given the
important role of sexuality in most people's
lives, health care providers (HCPs) should
consider counseling patients on this topic
whenever possible. This is an unprecedented
and stressful time for HCPs; facilitating
brief conversations and referrals to relevant
resources (Table) can help patients maintain
sexual wellness amid the pandemic.

numbers from?” said Josephine Ajayi. “That
doesn’t make any sense.”
Those weren’t the numbers that her facility
reported to the CDC’s National Healthcare
Safety Network, under new rules from the
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
(CMS), she said.
Ajayi said her 80-bed facility actually
reported 45 residents have tested positive and
five residents died, although the CMS website
showed no Saugus deaths. About 19 staff
members tested positive for the virus, and
most have returned to work, she said.

...Considering the risks of chloroquine and
hydroxychloroquine, and the evidence
suggesting the reason these drugs work for
COVID-19 is because they act as zinc
ionophores, it’s worth questioning whether
other more natural zinc ionophores can be
used.
One prime example would be quercetin, which is
a naturally occurring zinc ionophore.24 As
reported by the Green Stars Project,25
“Researchers from Oak Ridge National Lab used
the world’s most powerful supercomputer,
SUMMIT, to look for small molecules that might
inhibit the COVID-19 spike protein from
interacting with human cells and,
interestingly, quercetin is fifth on that
list.”26
Quercetin is one of only three natural
products found to inhibit the SARS-CoV-2 spike
protein. The only natural product found to be
slightly more effective is luteolin, a
polyphenol found in radicchio, green peppers,
serrano and green hot chili peppers, chicory,
celery and many other foods.27
Quercetin is another flavonols compound found
in a variety of foods, including apples,
Brassica vegetables, capers, onions, tea and
tomatoes, just to name a few. It’s also
contained in medicinal products such as Ginko
biloba, St. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum)
and elderberry (Sambucus canadensis).
Research has already demonstrated that
quercetin is a powerful immune booster and
broad-spectrum antiviral. As noted in a 2016
study28 in the journal Nutrients, quercetin’s
mechanisms of action include the inhibition of
lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced tumor
necrosis factor α (TNF-α) production in
macrophages.
TNF-α is a cytokine involved in systemic
inflammation, secreted by activated
macrophages, a type of immune cell that
digests foreign substances, microbes and other
harmful or damaged components. Quercetin also
inhibits the release of pro-inflammatory
cytokines and histamine by modulating calcium
influx into the cell.29
According to this paper, quercetin also
stabilizes mast cells and has “a direct
regulatory effect on basic functional
properties of immune cells,” which allows it
to inhibit “a huge panoply of molecular
targets in the micromolar concentration range,
either by down-regulating or suppressing many
inflammatory pathways and functions.”30
Another 2016 study31 concluded it helps
modulate the NLRP3 inflammasome, an immune
system component involved in the uncontrolled
release of pro-inflammatory cytokines that
occurs during a cytokine storm.

recommendations:
Quercetin — According to research from
Appalachian State University in North
Carolina, taking 500 mg to 1,000 mg of
quercetin per day for 12 weeks results in
“large but highly variable increases in plasma
quercetin … unrelated to demographic or
lifestyle factors.”41
Zinc (and copper) — When it comes to zinc,
remember that more is not necessarily better.
In fact, it can backfire. When taking zinc,
you also need to be mindful of maintaining a
healthy zinc-to-copper ratio. As noted by
Chris Masterjohn, who has a Ph.D. in
nutritional sciences,42 in an article43 and
series of Twitter posts:44
“In one study, 300mg/day of
zinc as two divided doses of 150 mg zinc
sulfate decreased important markers of immune
function, such as the ability of immune cells
known as polymorphonuclear leukocytes to
migrate toward and consume bacteria.

Without an effective
prophylactic solution, infections from
SARS-CoV-2 continue to rise worldwide with
devastating health and economic costs.
SARS-CoV-2 gains entry into host cells via an
interaction between its Spike protein and the
host cell receptor angiotensin converting
enzyme 2 (ACE2). Disruption of this
interaction confers potent neutralization of
viral entry, providing an avenue for vaccine
design and for therapeutic antibodies. Here,
we develop single-domain antibodies
(nanobodies) that potently disrupt the
interaction between the SARS-CoV-2 Spike and
ACE2. By screening a yeast surface-displayed
library of synthetic nanobody sequences, we
identified a panel of nanobodies that bind to
multiple epitopes on Spike and block ACE2
interaction via two distinct mechanisms.
Cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM)
revealed that one exceptionally stable
nanobody, Nb6, binds Spike in a fully inactive
conformation with its receptor binding domains
(RBDs) locked into their inaccessible
down-state, incapable of binding ACE2.
Affinity maturation and structure-guided
design of multivalency yielded a trivalent
nanobody, mNb6-tri, with femtomolar affinity
for SARS-CoV-2 Spike and picomolar
neutralization of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
mNb6-tri retains stability and function after
aerosolization, lyophilization, and heat
treatment. These properties may enable
aerosol-mediated delivery of this potent
neutralizer directly to the airway epithelia,
promising to yield a widely deployable,
patient-friendly prophylactic and/or early
infection therapeutic agent to stem the worst

Abstract
Integrating carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in
carbon-fiber-reinforced-polymer (CFRP)
composites enhances structural and functional
properties; however, it often involves
chemical functionalization or processes that
lead to inhomogeneous dispersion and
nonuniform distribution of CNTs that impair
the final properties and hinder manufacturing
scalability. Herein, we present a novel and
scalable processing technique to integrate
pristine CNTs (pCNTs) into CFRP composites
without the need for chemical
functionalization or addition of surfactants.
We use cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) as
assisting nanomaterials to uniformly disperse
and stabilize pCNTs in water, and then we coat
carbon fibers (CFs) with CNC-pCNT prior to
resin infusion. Two coating methods are used:
simple immersion (I-coating) and simultaneous
immersion and sonication (IS-coating). The
surface chemistry of coated CFs reveals that
I-coating provides a higher quantity of polar
oxygen groups in coated CFs containing
CNC-pCNT compared to IS-coating. We show that
fabricating hybrid CFRPs by incorporating 0.2
wt % CNC–0.2 wt % pCNT in CFRP composites
using this simple technique enhances the
flexural strength by 33% and the interlaminar
shear strength (ILSS) by 35% compared to those
of neat CFRPs. Significantly,
0.2CNC-0.2pCNT-CFRPs show ∼25% higher flexural
strength and ILSS compared to the largest
enhancement in composites with individual
functionalized CNTs (fCNTs) or CNCs,
demonstrating a synergistic effect of CNC-pCNT
in enhancing properties. Moreover, our results
indicate that incorporating CNC-pCNT increases
the thermal stability of CFs compared to those
of fCNTs. These are specifically crucial in
composites used in structural applications.
These results highlight that the introduced
CNC-enabled processing technique is a
potential scalable path toward the fabrication
of hybrid composites that can enhance
properties higher than individual CNTs or
CNCs, avoiding costly and/or time-inefficient
functionalization processes.

system. i have 3 raised beds with micro drip

An "air well" or "aerial well"
is a structure or device that collects water
by promoting the condensation of moisture from
air. Designs for air wells are many and
varied, but the simplest designs are
completely passive, require no external energy
source and have few, if any, moving parts.
Three principal designs are used for air
wells, designated as high mass, radiative, and
active:
All air well designs incorporate a
substrate with a temperature sufficiently low
so that dew forms. Dew is a form of
precipitation that occurs naturally when
atmospheric water vapour condenses onto a
substrate. It is distinct from fog, in that
fog is made of droplets of water that condense
around particles in the air. Condensation
releases latent heat which must be dissipated
in order for water collection to continue.
An air well requires moisture from the
air. Everywhere on Earth, even in deserts, the
surrounding atmosphere contains at least some
water. According to Beysens and Milimouk: "The
atmosphere contains of fresh
water, composed of 98 percent water vapour and
2 percent condensed water : a figure
comparable to the renewable liquid water
resources of inhabited lands ." The quantity
of water vapour contained within the air is
commonly reported as a relative humidity, and
this depends on temperature—warmer air can
contain more water vapour than cooler air.
When air is cooled to the dew point, it
becomes saturated, and moisture will condense
on a suitable surface. For instance, the dew
temperature of air at 20 °C and 80 percent
relative humidity is 16 °C. The dew
temperature falls to 9 °C if the relative
humidity is 50 percent.

Through the Warka Water
project, Vittori is investigating alternative
water sources for remote communities without
access to running water.
"Warka Water is a philosophy looking at the
environment and different possibilities to
collect and harvest water in a sustainable
way," he explains in the movie, which Dezeen
filmed at his studio in the countryside
outside Rome.
Vittori is currently developing a lightweight
wooden tower – which is quick and cheap to
build without any power tools – that harvests
water from the atmosphere via condensation.
The tower consists of a bamboo frame
supporting a mesh polyester material inside.
Rain, fog and dew condenses against the mesh
and trickles down a funnel into a reservoir at
the base of the structure. A fabric canopy
shades the lower sections of the tower to
prevent the collected water from evaporating.
"Warka Water is currently represented by a
tower that reaches up to the sky to collect
moisture from the air and brings it down by
gravity to the people," Vittori says.
The performance of the towers varies depending
on the weather, but Vittori's aim is to create
a structure that would enable the community to
extract up to 100 litres of water a day
without the reservoir running dry.

Growing up on Mount
Boutmezguida in southwest Morocco on the edge
of the Sahara desert, Khadija Ghouate never
imagined that the fog enveloping the nearby
peaks would change her life.
For hours every day and often before sunrise,
Ghouate and other women from nearby villages
would walk 5 km (3 miles) to fetch water from
open wells, with girls pulled out of school to
help and at risk of violence on the lonely
treks.
But with groundwater levels dropping due to
overuse, drought and climate change, the
challenge to get enough water daily was
becoming harder, and almost half of people in
the local area sold up and quit rural life
after generations for the city.
As the future of the traditional Berber region
by Mount Boutmezguida floundered, a
mathematician whose family came from the area
had a eureka moment gleaned from living
overseas - using fog to make water.
Now Ghouate's village is connected to the
world's largest functioning fog collection
project, alleviating the need to collect water
that fell mainly on women, and with
state-of-the-art equipment setting an example
for other projects globally.

Fence) that i put together. included in the
video is the testing, the full build, some
ramblings, and a list of thoughts. (roughly in
that order). these "cloud catchers" collect
fog and mist and convert it into pure liquid
water. great for anywhere that fog or mist is
abundant. the unit consists of a frame, some
sort of "netting" and a trough. total cost
$25.00 (13 for PVC, 5 for pad, and 7 for
trough and u-bolts). it's a completely passive
system (so no power source needed). i'd
been thinking for awhile on how to increase
the efficiency of these devices. finally, i
eventually thought of using a finely woven
natural fiber pad (filter). a plus is that
it's currently being massed produced. the
material is a finely woven lattice of ten of
thousands of hair like filaments (perfect for
fog/mist and dew collection). all the early
tests (as shown in video) show that it
performs as well or better than any of the
currently used netting. many further tests
will need to be done in natural fog conditions
to see if this material could be an
alternative to standard netting - but it looks
promising.The tests: i first tested
material with a mister. i then tested it with
a powerful fogging nozzle. (best i can do
since i don't have natural fog where i live.).
the material seems to collect about 80% of the
mist and 20-25% of the "fog". *typical netting
collects anywhere from 2% to 10%. 10%
being the most advanced on the market. so it's
"possibly" twice as effective. current units
produce anywhere from .5 Liters to 2.5 Liters
(per square meter of material per day).
assuming it generates double the best netting,
that would be 5 Liters per day (for a full
square meter). my units' surface area is
roughly 1/4 of a square meter... so divide by
four and the unit shown in video could
potentially generate 1.25 Liters of water per
day.(if i made a mistake on the math, let me
know and i'll correct it). again, lots of
further tests need to be done in various
natural fog conditions to confirm. the
material is rough and very rigid and held up
perfect to all the water. it doesn't soak in,
it just beads up and rolls down into the
trough. i used a 2 gph fogger for the test (so
output is 256 oz. per hour). i was collecting
about 1 oz of water per minute (or 60 oz per
hour).so a little under 25% of the total mist
and fog was getting caught. currently, 25
countries (including the USA) are using these.

The design is not perfect, I am still working
on it, but the advantage of this design
is the bottle water still can be hung up off
the ground to keep away from animals or being
blown over in the wind and the collection
bottle allows you to not have to tend to it
for days as it slowly fills up with fresh
distilled water. The cost is almost nothing as
it is basically recycled water or soda
bottles, string,cardboard, hot glue and tape.
Some people are going to freak over
using plastic soda bottles. Glass bottles can
be used instead if you are competent in
cutting them in half. Dan Rojas at green power
science has the best method on youtube
on how to cut glass bottles if you are
interested.
However,the plastic soda and drinking water
bottles should not emit harmful chemicals at
low temperatures and the pvc collection tube
can be replaced with hollow bamboo or
elderberry or other local material.
The cardboard wick component can also be
replaced with untreated cotton or other
wicking material. Wooden shims or spacers can
be used in the interior instead of hot glue to
keep the interior container centered.
How much water can you get from one
bottle? The second day I used the still I got
46 ml in 8 hours on a mild partly cloudy day.
If you don't have access to 3 liter
bottles you can use more common 2 liter
bottles and add the cardboard wick to your
interior container like I did with the 3 liter
bottle.
The collecting bottle should be covered to
protect the water from being evaporated again.
The design can be assembled very quickly after
you make the first one.
I know 46 mls is not a lot of water, but if
you need clean water and have more time than
money and access to recyclable bottles why not
make a lot of bottle stills?Tthis design would
allow you to make a lot of water in unused
space along walls and fences or even the south
side of trees as the design is vertical.
It is also mobile and can be taken with you.

I don't like
publishing this, but it appeared to Claudia twice to
stop an assassination of Trump.
Yesterday an apparition from Beirut appeared to
Claudia, said it was a bombing and that the elite were
going to blame Trump (who did not do it) as an excuse
to assassinate him and that she had to tell me to post
this to stop the assasination. Claudia said nothing to
me and figured she imagined it all, because she did
not even know there was a bombing, she was unaware of
anything happening in Lebanon. She did not know what
on earth the apparition was talking about.
Today the apparition appeared again and told her to
tell me. So she came to me, asking about a bombing and
wondering what on earth all of this was about. When I
told her that Beirut got bombed, (it was clearly a
bombing,) she was shocked and apologetic for not
telling me yesterday
This entity specifically told her he died in the
Beirut blast and was here to give a warning and tell
us to state that Trump had nothing to do with the
Beirut blast, which will be determined to be a bombing
(probably already has) in the elite circles, and that
a disinformation campaign was going to happen in the
background to get Iran and Lebanon to kill Trump. If
this happens, - if Trump is assassinated, all hell is
obviously going to break loose and evil will win. The
entity was not an evil entity, it was more like a
political figure that was not corrupt. From what
Claudia said, it was clearly aware of geopolitics.
I posted this because:
1. Claudia was clueless anything at all happened in
Beirut. She knew I was working on a big report, but
did not know what it was about.
2. I know damn well that was a bombing and am not
stuck on the idiotic prospect of pure ammonium nitrate
doing this, when it has to have diesel or gasoline
added to it to do anything at all, and -
3. This apparition appeared twice stating it was a
bomb blast and I don't want Trump assassinated. If
Claudia was clueless about a bombing, how on earth
could she have come to me telling me about a "ghost"
that told her what happened in Lebanon, specifically
stating he was from Beirut if it was not something
real?
It appeared to Claudia and not me, because I'd have
called bullshit and denied it was even there before it
even had a chance to speak.

Interpersonal
gazing in dyads, when the two individuals in the dyad
stare at each other in the eyes, is investigated in 20
healthy young individuals at low illumination for
10-min. Results indicate dissociative symptoms,
dysmorphic face perceptions, and hallucination-like
strange-face apparitions. Dissociative symptoms and
face dysmorphia were correlated. Strange-face
apparitions were non-correlated with dissociation and
dysmorphia. These results indicate that dissociative
symptoms and hallucinatory phenomena during
interpersonal-gazing under low illumination can
involve different processes. Strange-face apparitions
may characterize the rebound to "reality" (perceptual
reality caused by external stimulus and hallucinatory
reality caused by internal input) from a dissociative
state induced by sensory deprivation. These phenomena
may explain psychodynamic projections of the subject's
unconscious meanings into the other's face. The
results indicate that interpersonal gazing in dyads
can be an effective tool for studying
experimentally-induced dissociative symptoms and
hallucinatory-like apparitions.

Abstract
The oxidative
degradation of lipids has been shown to be implicated
in the progression of several neurodegenerative
diseases and modulating lipid peroxidation may be
efficacious for treating Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
This hypothesis is strengthened by recent findings
suggesting that oxytosis/ferroptosis, a cell death
process characterized by increased lipid peroxidation,
plays an important role in AD-related toxicities.
CMS121 is a small molecule developed against these
aspects of neurodegeneration. Here we show that CMS121
alleviates cognitive loss, modulates lipid metabolism
and reduces inflammation and lipid peroxidation in the
brains of transgenic AD mice. We identify fatty acid
synthase (FASN) as a molecular target of CMS121 and
demonstrate that modulating lipid metabolism through
the inhibition of FASN protects against several
AD-related toxicities. These results support the
involvement of lipid peroxidation and perturbed lipid
metabolism in AD pathophysiology and propose FASN as a
target in AD-associated toxicities.

Abstract
In this paper we
afford a quantitative analysis of the sustainability
of current world population growth in relation to the
parallel deforestation process adopting a statistical
point of view. We consider a simplified model based on
a stochastic growth process driven by a continuous
time random walk, which depicts the technological
evolution of human kind, in conjunction with a
deterministic generalised logistic model for
humans-forest interaction and we evaluate the
probability of avoiding the self-destruction of our
civilisation. Based on the current resource
consumption rates and best estimate of technological
rate growth our study shows that we have very low
probability, less than 10% in most optimistic
estimate, to survive without facing a catastrophic
collapse.

Droplets
Virus is transmitted through
respiratory droplets produced when an infected person
coughs, sneezes or talks. Larger respiratory droplets
(>5 μm) remain in the air for only a short time and
travel only short distances, generally <1 meter. They
fall to the ground quickly.

Air currents
In air conditioned environment these
large droplets may travel farther.
However, ventilation — even the opening
of an entrance door and a small window can dilute the
number of small droplets to one half after 30 seconds.
(This study looked at droplets from uninfected persons).
This is clinically relevant because poorly ventilated and
populated spaces, like public transport and nursing homes,
have high SARS-CoV-2 disease transmission despite physical

efficient. HEPA filters are tested with particles that are
0.125 μm.
Masks and respirators work by
collecting particles through several physical mechanisms,
including diffusion (small particles) and interception and
impaction (large particles)
N95 filtering facepiece respirators
(FFRs) are constructed from electret (a dielectric
material that has a quasi-permanent electric charge. An
electret generates internal and external electric fields
so the filter material has electrostatic attraction for
additional collection of all particle sizes. As flow
increases, particles will be collected less efficiently.
N95 – A properly fitted N95 will block
95% of tiny air particles down to 0.3 μm from reaching the
wearer’s face.

have problems: many have exhalation valve for easier
breathing and less moisture inside the mask.
Surgical masks
are designed to protect patients from a surgeon’s
respiratory droplets, aren’t effective at blocking
particles smaller than 100 μm.

Filter
efficiency was measured across a wide range of small
particle sizes (0.02 to 1 µm) at 33 and 99 L/min.
N95 respirators had efficiencies greater than 95% (as
expected).
T-shirts had 10% efficiency,
Scarves 10% to 20%,
Cloth masks 10% to 30%,
Sweatshirts 20% to 40%, and
Towels 40%.
All of the cloth masks and materials had near zero
efficiency at 0.3 µm, a particle size that easily
penetrates into the lungs.
Another study evaluated 44 masks, respirators, and other
materials with similar methods and small aerosols (0.08
and 0.22 µm).
N95 FFR filter efficiency was greater than 95%.
Medical masks – 55% efficiency
General masks – 38% and
Handkerchiefs – 2% (one layer) to 13% (four layers)
efficiency.
Conclusion: Wearing masks will not reduce SARS-CoV-2.
N95 masks protect health care workers, but are not
recommended for source control transmission.
Surgical masks are better than cloth but not very
efficient at preventing emissions from infected patients.
Cloth masks will be ineffective at preventing SARS-CoV-2
transmission, whether worn as source control or as
personal protective equipment (PPE).

Moisture
retention, reuse of cloth masks and poor filtration may
result in increased risk of infection.

Self-contamination through repeated use and improper
doffing is possible. A contaminated cloth mask may

Cloth masks
should not be recommended for health care workers,

Final Thoughts
Surgical masks – loose fitting. They
are designed to protect the patient from the doctors’
respiratory droplets. The wearer is not protected from
others airborne particles
People do not wear masks properly. Most
people have the mask under the nose. The wearer does not
have glasses on and the eyes are a portal of entry.
The designer masks and scarves offer
minimal protection – they give a false sense of security
to both the wearer and those around the wearer.
**Not to mention they add a perverse
lightheartedness to the situation.
If you are walking alone, no mask –
avoid folks – that is common sense.
Remember – children under 2 should not
wear masks – accidental suffocation and difficulty
breathing in some
If wearing a mask makes people go out
and get Vitamin D – go for it. In the 1918 flu pandemic
people who went outside did better. Early reports are
showing people with COVID-19 with low Vitamin D do worse
than those with normal levels. Perhaps that is why
shut-ins do so poorly.

Abstract
Shewanella oneidensis
MR-1 is a dissimilatory metal-reducing bacterium capable
of reducing various metal and sulfur compounds and
precipitating them in nanoparticulate form. Here, we
report the synthesis of molybdenum disulfide nanomaterials
at the site of S. oneidensis biofilms grown in the
presence of molybdenum trioxide and sodium thiosulfate.
Samples from the growth medium were imaged using scanning
electron microscopy and characterized using transmission
electron microscopy, energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy,
absorbance spectroscopy, and x-ray diffraction. These
methods revealed the presence of molybdenum disulfide
nanoparticle aggregates 50–300 nm in diameter with both
hexagonal and rhombohedral polytypes. As a biosynthesis
method for molybdenum sulfide, the use of S. oneidensis
offers the advantage of significantly reduced heat and
chemical solvent input compared to conventional methods of
synthesizing molybdenum disulfide nanoparticles.

Antonie van Leeuwenhoek used one of the earliest
microscopes to see how sperm swim. He described the sperm
as a “living animalcule” with a “tail, which, when
swimming, lashes with a snakelike movement, like eels in
water”. Strikingly, this perception of how sperm moves has
not changed since. Indeed, anyone today with a modern
microscope would make the same observation: sperm swim
forward by wiggling their tail symmetrically
side-to-side. Our new research using 3D microscopy
shows that we have all been victims of a sperm deception,
an illusion. Only now we can see that for 350 years we
have been wrong about how sperm actually swims. Sperm
ingeniously solved a mathematical puzzle at a microscopic
scale: they create symmetry out of asymmetry.
