Abstract --In this study, lipid extraction from Chlorella vulgaris was performed by using mixtures of molten salt and ionic liquid. The yield-enhancing effects of blending of molten salt with ionic liquid were investigated. Among the three molten salts (Zn(NO3)2·6H2O, Mg(ClO4)2·6H2O, and FeCl3·6H2O), FeCl3·6H2O showed a high lipid extraction yield (113.0 mg/g cell) and good reaction performance. When FeCl3·6H2O was mixed with [Emim]OAc (5:1, w/w), the lipid extraction yield increased to 227.6 mg/g cell, a performance similar to that of single [Emim]OAc (218.7 mg/g cell). When lipid was extracted by the FeCl3·6H2O/[Emim]OAc mixture at a 5:1 (w/w) blending ratio, 90 °C temperature, and 1 h duration, the fatty acid content of the extracted lipid was 981.7 mg/g lipid, indicating less than 2% impurity. The lipid extraction from C. vulgaris was improved by the synergistic effects of molten salt and ionic liquid with different ions.

Enhancing the oil extraction efficiency of Chlorella vulgaris with cell-disruptive pretreatment using active extracellular substances from Bacillus thuringiensis ITRI-G1

Abstract -- An isolated bacterium, identified as Bacillus thuringiensis ITRI-G1, was able to produce active extracellular substances (denoted as AES-Bt) that exhibited efficient cell disruptive ability for a lipid-rich microalga Chlorella vulgaris CNW-11. Pretreatment of the microalga with AES-Bt for 24 h led to an increase in the extracted oil content from 34.2% to 44.3% (dry weight basis), representing an enhanced oil extraction efficiency (ηoil) of 29.3%. The ηoil value remained within the range of 26.3–33.2% when increasing the algae biomass loading from 5.0 g/l to 40.0 g/l (or decreasing AES-to-algae ratio from 200 to 25 ml/g), while the maximum ηoil value was obtained when an AES-to-algae ratio of 50 ml/g was used. Finally, reuse of AES-Bt agent was also examined. The results show that the enhanced lipid extraction efficiency slightly decreased as the number of recycling times increased. However, after being recycled and reused for four times, the AES-Bt agents could still effectively disrupt the cell wall, leading to around 92% of the original oil extraction efficiency that was obtained when the AES-Bt agents were first used. This study demonstrates that biological cell-disruptive pretreatment using the AES-Bt agents could be an effective and environmentally friendly means of increasing oil extraction efficiency with microalgae.

Abstract -- This work briefly surveys unconventional research in Russia from the end of the 19th until the beginning of the 21th centuries in areas related to generation and detection of a ’high-penetrating’ emission of non-biological origin. The overview is based on open scientific and journalistic materials. The unique character of this research and its history, originating from governmental programs of the USSR, is shown. Relations to modern studies on biological effects of weak electromagnetic emission, several areas of bioinformatics and theories of physical vacuum are discussed.

The high energy-efficiency of life is hard to understand only with classical physics. Many efforts have been made to study its mechanism based on quantum mechanics; the progress is nevertheless slow due to lack of experimental evidence with living cells. Here, combining experiments on cells, tissues and mitochondria with a theoretical model, we demonstrate a quantum state of mitochondria, which can be employed to modulate ATP production in living cells. We found an anomalous 71.0-THz oscillation mode only in living cells and tissues, which is highly determined by intact structure of mitochondria, and cannot be assigned to any specific molecules. Based on experimental data, a quantum model of light-matter coupling was introduced to trace the origin of this mode. Our calculations suggest a quantum superposition state of functional mitochondrion that forms by the coupling of light and lipid CH2 bonds in functional cristae, and induces a splitting of the intrinsic CH2 vibration mode of 87 THz to two levels at 71 THz and 103 THz, respectively. The former can be observed only in living cells and tissues; whereas the latter falls in the range (90–110 THz) of biomolecular and water vibrations, thus indistinguishable. Additional experiments revealed this mitochondrial quantum state able to serve as an efficient channel to modulate ATP production. Our findings provide a quantum mechanics view for understanding living cells, and it will be interesting to further explore whether such quantum state could act as a channel for energy metabolism, and even information transmission in life.

on the creation of a torsion communication system, which will most likely be desired next year, the creation of the first industrial installation for transmitting information using all their radiation, which no radio receiver will be able to pick up. A radio receiver receives radio signals; a radio receiver cannot receive gravitational radiation, just as it cannot receive torsion radiation. The first experiments on the transmission of binary formats using torsion signals were conducted in our country in April 1986. Moreover, because the atoms in our bodies, which are inside us, also emit radiation, and they pass through our bodies without weakening; and therefore it turns out that this image that takes place gives us a three-dimensional image of you, and even gives us information about what is happening inside us. Let's forget about water products for a minute. A device has been developed that works as follows: it is already in operation, and the relevant work is already being carried out in this regard. So, I have a space image of some kind, of some area of some territory, for example, this space image per cent. I have this space image, and after analysing it in a certain way, I somehow learned to read information from it. Due to lack of time, I will not describe what it looks like; it is shown here. Well, after I isolated this information to torsion radiation, it turns out that the torsion radiation corresponding to oil in this territory looks like this: white vodka — this is where there is no oil at all; red — this is candy, and there is very little of it, it cannot be mulched by any chemical means; green — there is a little more oil, that singer is wild, that we can already allocate for this; blue — this is already a certain accumulation of oil; and this black, or this spot, not completely black, but in the middle it is clearly visible, black 505 oil — here you can just roll it up, drill a well and extract it. An image of the earth's thickness, at a depth of up to five kilometres, may not be of interest to anyone; it will not jump more than 8. Another situation: here is another satellite image of the territory. It turns out that there is nothing to eat in this spot, but when this spot was analysed, it turned out that it is not entirely an oil field, but a large number of people; here are the black spots, and you can't drill anywhere — you need to know the structure of the field.
It turns out that, in principle, it would be possible to do the following: visit a large number of different clinics in order to combat various diseases, take pictures — here they are, the decks — and process them; As a result, you get a set of these images: for a particular disease — here is the darkening, here are the areas and here is the nature; for other diseases — here are the ones. And all these reference images are fed into a computer. Then you come to the clinic and do not undergo long, tedious clinical examinations, which sometimes take weeks or even two or three months, and ultimately do not give a complete picture. Instead, your president takes it, processes it abroad in a machine, and the machine starts to deliver your bug with the whole set of these images, and it immediately tells you what disease you have and at what stage. The situation seemed even more interesting. There was a debate about how to treat it, because how to treat rapid tests. I'm not saying that all this is always there. On the other hand, there are now results from clinical studies that show that, yes, there really is a therapeutic effect; another thing is that a huge number of people are involved in this business, who publish and deceive us, make money from it, and do not provide any therapeutic effect. There is a significant category of people who, when they see you, think that you have extrasensory abilities, but in reality you do not have them, and they will not help you in any way; but there are also many who really do possess these qualities, which have been established on the basis of rigorous clinical experiments. The question arises: how are they alone? As I have already said, it turns out that all chemical molecules have their own torsion field; the set of substances that make up our bodies, what is called cells, has a very complex torsion field structure in humans. Water surrounds every person, and this field carries information about everything that happens in our bodies. So, it turns out that this tendency is found in people who are able to perceive this field in different ways: some use receiver jumps, receptors on the palm of the hand, photos of it; and such people do not need to be guided by others — they fix this field at the level of an image in their minds. And such people turn out to be: they see these fields, and this was also established as a result of rigorous physical experiments. These tapes, which have never been published before, were given to me by Dr. Egely, a nuclear engineer and one of the chief researchers in a short series of tests on Pavlita. More info on Pavlita can be found in my previous video, interviewing Egely, but essentially he was a layman in Czechoslovakia who figured out a way to store psychic energy in accumulators, and discharge it on matter, which created unusual and inexplicable results, magnetizing glass, killing fruit flies, preserving tissue, etc.
Egely was able to perform these tests on 4 separate occasions with varying degrees of success. Pavlita's performance was weakened from the long drive and from weather patterns, but there was always some observable anomalies.
Displayed here are the results of one of those tests. The tape was labelled Pavlita Biomotor (1987), although the tests were done in the 1970s, if I recall correctly. The English voice you can hear at times is Pavlita's daughter, serving as a translator to Egely.

Nikolai Kozyrev (1908–1983) was one of the most original astrophysicists of the twentieth century. Thermodynamic Magic Enables Cooling without Energy Consumption
Physicists at the University of Zurich have developed an amazingly simple device that allows heat to flow temporarily from a cold to a warm object without an external power supply. Intriguingly, the process initially appears to contradict the fundamental laws of physics.
If you put a teapot of boiling water on the kitchen table, it will gradually cool down. However, its temperature is not expected to fall below that of the table. It is precisely this everyday experience that illustrates one of the fundamental laws of physics – the second law of thermodynamics – which states that the entropy of a closed natural system must increase over time. Or, more simply put: Heat can flow by itself only from a warmer to a colder object, and not the other way round.
The results of a recent experiment carried out by the research group of Prof. Andreas Schilling in the Department of Physics at the University of Zurich (UZH) appear at first sight to challenge the second law of thermodynamics. The researchers managed to cool a nine-gram piece of copper from over 100°C to significantly below room temperature without an external power supply. “Theoretically, this experimental device could turn boiling water to ice, without using any energy,” says Schilling.
To achieve this, the researchers used a Peltier element, a component commonly used, for example, to cool minibars in hotel rooms. These elements can transform electric currents into temperature differences. The researchers had already used this type of element in previous experiments, in connection with an electric inductor, to create an oscillating heat current in which the flow of heat between two bodies perpetually changed direction. In this scenario, heat also temporarily flows from a colder to a warmer object so that the colder object is cooled down further. This kind of “thermal oscillating circuit” in effect contains a “thermal inductor”. It functions in the same way as an electrical oscillating circuit, in which the voltage oscillates with a constantly changing sign.
Until now, Schilling’s team had only operated these thermal oscillating circuits using an energy source. The researchers have now shown for the first time that this kind of thermal oscillating circuit can also be operated “passively”, i.e. with no external power supply. Thermal oscillations still occurred and, after a while, heat flowed directly from the colder copper to a warmer heat bath with a temperature of 22°C, without being temporarily transformed into another form of energy. Despite this, the authors were also able to show that the process does not actually contradict any laws of physics. To prove it, they considered the change in entropy of the whole system and showed that it increased with time – fully in accordance with the second law of thermodynamics.
Although the team recorded a difference of only about 2°C compared to the ambient temperature in the experiment, this was mainly due to the performance limitations of the commercial Peltier element used. According to Schilling, it would be possible in theory to achieve cooling of up to -47°C under the same conditions, if the “ideal” Peltier element – yet to be invented – could be used: “With this very simple technology, large amounts of hot solid, liquid or gaseous materials could be cooled to well below room temperature without any energy consumption.”
The passive thermal circuit could also be used as often as desired, without the need to connect it to a power supply. However, Schilling admits that a large-scale application of the technique is still a long way off. One reason for this is that the Peltier elements currently available are not efficient enough. Furthermore, the current set-up requires the use of superconducting inductors to minimize electric losses...

Bromide-mediated paired electrosynthesis of hydrogen and epoxide

Abstract -- Water electrolysis struggles to compete with the low cost of hydrogen produced from methane or coal. We propose a bromide-mediated paired electrosynthesis system in which an aqueous electrolyte is combined with olefins in an inert organic co-solvent to simultaneously generate hydrogen and epoxides. In this process, bromide electrolysis first produces gaseous hydrogen and solution-confined bromine; the bromine is then used to partially oxidize olefins into high-value epoxides while being regenerated back to bromide. By replacing low-value oxygen with valuable epoxides, this approach increases the economic viability of water electrolysis and can be applied to a wide range of olefins. We demonstrate the concept using styrene, converting water and styrene into hydrogen and styrene oxide in a membraneless system with high efficiency, high rate, and high product selectivity.

When put under pressure, plastic crystals of neopentylglycol yield huge cooling effects – enough that they are competitive with conventional coolants. In addition, the material is inexpensive, widely available and functions at close to room temperature. Details are published in the journal Nature Communications.
The gases currently used in the vast majority of refrigerators and air conditioners —hydrofluorocarbons and hydrocarbons (HFCs and HCs) — are toxic and flammable. When they leak into the air, they also contribute to global warming.
“Refrigerators and air conditioners based on HFCs and HCs are also relatively inefficient,” said Dr Xavier Moya, from the University of Cambridge, who led the research with Professor Josep Lluís Tamarit, from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. “That’s important because refrigeration and air conditioning currently devour a fifth of the energy produced worldwide, and demand for cooling is only going up.”
To solve these problems, materials scientists around the world have sought alternative solid refrigerants. Moya, a Royal Society Research Fellow in Cambridge’s Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy, is one of the leaders in this field.
In their newly-published research, Moya and collaborators from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and the Universitat de Barcelona describe the enormous thermal changes under pressure achieved with plastic crystals.
Conventional cooling technologies rely on the thermal changes that occur when a compressed fluid expands. Most cooling devices work by compressing and expanding fluids such as HFCs and HCs. As the fluid expands, it decreases in temperature, cooling its surroundings.
With solids, cooling is achieved by changing the material’s microscopic structure. This change can be achieved by applying a magnetic field, an electric field or through mechanic force. For decades, these caloric effects have fallen behind the thermal changes available in fluids, but the discovery of colossal barocaloric effects in a plastic crystal of neopentylglycol (NPG) and other related organic compounds has levelled the playfield.
Due to the nature of their chemical bonds, organic materials are easier to compress, and NPG is widely used in the synthesis of paints, polyesters, plasticisers and lubricants. It’s not only widely available, but also is inexpensive.
NPG’s molecules, composed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, are nearly spherical and interact with each other only weakly. These loose bonds in its microscopic structure permit the molecules to rotate relatively freely.
The word “plastic” in “plastic crystals” refers not to its chemical composition but rather to its malleability. Plastic crystals lie at the boundary between solids and liquids.
Compressing NPG yields unprecedentedly large thermal changes due to molecular reconfiguration. The temperature change achieved is comparable with those exploited commercially in HFCs and HCs.
The discovery of colossal barocaloric effects in a plastic crystal should bring barocaloric materials to the forefront of research and development to achieve safe environmentally friendly cooling without compromising performance.
Moya is now working with Cambridge Enterprise, the commercialisation arm of the University of Cambridge, to bring this technology to market.

Taking a cue from spider webs, UCLA researchers snag fresh water with vapor capture system
Inspired by how dew drops form on spider webs, UCLA engineers and mathematicians have designed a unique and effective water vapor capture system that could be used to produce clean, fresh water, or to recycle industrial water that would otherwise be wasted.
Their system is a dense array of parallel cotton threads strung vertically, with a steady stream of water droplets flowing down the strings. Rising water vapor, pushed upward by a fan, is captured by the “web” of water droplets and condenses. The resulting water is then moved into a collecting container.
The researchers reported a 200 percent increase in efficiency using this method compared to existing technologies designed to capture water vapor.
The study was published in Science Advances and includes a theoretical model of the system and experimental results from a prototype.
In addition to harvesting water from the atmosphere, the method could be used to produce clean water from the evaporation of high-salinity wastewaters, such as those produced from oil and gas production, or from irrigation runoff.
It could also be used to capture steam escaping from cooling towers in power plants and industrial facilities. The captured water could then be recycled back into the cooling system.
“The growing global concern over the scarcity of fresh water has motivated the development of economically feasible ways to capture water vapor,” said Sungtaek Ju, professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering and the principal investigator of the study. “This idea of imitating the natural rain cycle to produce clean water, called ‘the humidification-dehumidification process,’ has been around for quite some time. However, making such a system that’s inexpensive to build and operate has been a major challenge. Our system is inexpensive, lightweight and energy-efficient. These factors can potentially help overcome challenges for its adoption.”
Some proposed water vapor capture methods have used chilled metal to make water vapor condense on a surface. But limited surface areas, as well as weight, material and manufacturing costs, have slowed their adoption. Similarly, methods using spray nozzles or electric fields use too much electricity to be viable.
A key element in the UCLA team’s system is its ability to consistently generate water droplets of the same size and constant flowing speed. These water beads enable the system to effectively capture water vapor, without causing significant pressure drop, and hence fan power consumption.
“The liquid beads form highly curved surfaces that enhance the rate at which water vapor diffuses through the air,” said Abolfazl Sadeghpour, a UCLA mechanical engineering graduate student and a co-lead author of the study. “Simply said, this is analogous to a snowball rolling downhill. The beads are picking up water vapor as they travel down. And while a drop may seem small, think of an entire array of threads working constantly. The water vapor harvested could add up to quite a bit.”

Water vapor capturing using an array of traveling liquid beads for desalination and water treatment

Abstract -- Growing concern over the scarcity of freshwater motivates the development of compact and economic vapor capture methods for distributed thermal desalination or harvesting of water. We report a study of water vapor condensation on cold liquid beads traveling down a massive array of vertical cotton threads that act as pseudo-superhydrophilic surfaces. These liquid beads form through intrinsic flow instability and offer localized high-curvature surfaces that enhance vapor diffusion toward the liquid surface, a critical rate-limiting step. As the liquid flow rate increases, the bead spacing decreases, whereas the bead size and speed stay nearly constant. The resulting increase in the spatial bead density leads to mass transfer conductances and hence condensation rates per volume that are almost three times higher than the best reported values. Parallel and contiguous gas flow paths also result in a substantial reduction in gas pressure drop and hence electric fan power consumption.

The cooling system methodology created by a team led by Professors Stefan Seelecke and Andreas Schütze at Saarland University is technically not new in concept, but it is the best example of taking advantage of an interesting memory metal called Nitinol and it’s known effects of soaking up heat while it gets bent and releasing the heat when it straightens out.
The cooling system is made of a cylindrical chamber with a rotor that has nitinol metal strings running along the length. There is a cam system that flexes the wire as it rotates for 1/2 the revolution. During this 1/2, the wires soak up heat in that compartment, which cools the compartment down. When the wires goes into the other side of the chamber, they are allowed to straighten up and they release a lot of heat, which heats up that compartment.
There is air moving through the devices to move both the hot and cold air. The claims from the university is that it is about twice as efficient as a heat pump. As you know from the examples above that a heat pump could have a COP of 2.0 or 3.0 easily. That means that this new Nitinol cooling device would have a COP of 4.0-6.0 or 400-600% more work done than the motor takes to rotate the cylinder!

If a nickel-titanium wire or sheet is deformed or pulled in tension, the crystal lattice structure can change, creating strain within the material. This change in the crystal structure, known as a phase transition, causes the shape memory alloy to become hotter. If the stressed sample is allowed to relax after temperature equalization with the environment, it undergoes substantial cooling to a temperature about 20 Centigrade degrees below ambient temperature. ‘
"The basic idea was to remove heat from a space – like the interior of a refrigerator – by allowing a pre-stressed, super-elastic shape memory material to relax and thus cool significantly. The heat taken up in this process is then released externally to the surroundings. The SMA is then re-stressed in the surroundings, thereby raising its temperature, before the cycle begins again," explains Stefan Seelecke, Professor for Intelligent Material Systems at Saarland University.
In the experimental and modelling studies carried out so far, the researchers at Saarland University and the Center for Mechatronics and Automation Technology (ZeMA) in Saarbrücken have demonstrated that this type of cooling works, and that it can be used in practice. They used a model system to determine how to optimize the efficiency of the cooling process, examining such factors as how strongly the material has to be elongated or bent in order to achieve a certain cooling performance, or whether the process is more effective when carried out slowly or more rapidly. Imagine being able to hear people whispering in the next room, while the raucous party in your own room is inaudible to the whisperers. Yale researchers have found a way to do just that — make sound flow in one direction — within a fundamental technology found in everything from cell phones to gravitational wave detectors.
What’s more, the researchers have used the same idea to control the flow of heat in one direction. The discovery offers new possibilities for enhancing electronic devices that use acoustic resonators...
“This is an experiment in which we make a one-way route for sound waves,” said Harris, a Yale physics professor and the study’s principal investigator. “Specifically, we have two acoustic resonators. Sound stored in the first resonator can leak into the second, but not vice versa.”
Harris said his team was able to achieve the result with a “tuning knob” — a laser setting, actually — that can weaken or strengthen a sound wave, depending on the sound wave’s dire3ction.
Then the researchers took their experiment to a different level. Because heat consists mostly of vibrations, they applied the same ideas to the flow of heat from one object to another.
“By using our one-way sound trick, we can make heat flow from point A to point B, or from B to A, regardless of which one is colder or hotter,” Harris said. “This would be like dropping an ice cube into a glass of hot water and having the ice cubes get colder and colder while the water around them gets warmer and warmer. Then, by changing a single setting on our laser, heat is made to flow the usual way, and the ice cubes gradually warm and melt while the liquid water cools a bit. Though in our experiments it’s not ice cubes and water that are exchanging heat, but rather two acoustic resonators.”
Although some of the most basic examples of acoustic resonators are found in musical instruments or even automobile exhaust pipes, they’re also found in a variety of electronics. They are used as sensors, filters, and transducers because of their compatibility with a wide range of materials, frequencies, and fabrication processes.

Nonreciprocal control and cooling of phonon modes in an optomechanical system

Abstract -- Mechanical resonators are important components of devices that range from gravitational wave detectors to cellular telephones. They serve as high-performance transducers, sensors and filters by offering low dissipation, tunable coupling to diverse physical systems, and compatibility with a wide range of frequencies, materials and fabrication processes. Systems of mechanical resonators typically obey reciprocity, which ensures that the phonon transmission coefficient between any two resonators is independent of the direction of transmission1,2. Reciprocity must be broken to realize devices (such as isolators and circulators) that provide one-way propagation of acoustic energy between resonators. Such devices are crucial for protecting active elements, mitigating noise and operating full-duplex transceivers. Until now, nonreciprocal phononic devices have not simultaneously combined the features necessary for robust operation: strong nonreciprocity, in situ tunability, compact integration and continuous operation. Furthermore, they have been applied only to coherent signals (rather than fluctuations or noise), and have been realized exclusively in travelling-wave systems (rather than resonators). Here we describe a scheme that uses the standard cavity-optomechanical interaction to produce robust nonreciprocal coupling between phononic resonators. This scheme provides about 30 decibels of isolation in continuous operation and can be tuned in situ simply via the phases of the drive tones applied to the cavity. In addition, by directly monitoring the dynamics of the resonators we show that this nonreciprocity can control thermal fluctuations, and that this control represents a way to cool phononic resonators.

In this paper we propose that an innovative new class of heat transfer fluids can be engineered by suspending metallic nanoparticles in conventional heat transfer fluids. The resulting nanofluid are expected to exhibit high thermal conductivities compared to those of currently used heat transfer fluids, and they represent the best hope for enhancement of heat transfer. The results of a theoretical study of the thermal conductivity of nanofluids with copper nanophase materials are presented, the potential benefits of the fluids are estimated, and it is shown that one of the benefits of nanofluids will be dramatic reductions in heat exchanger pumping power.

Abstract -- Arabidopsis thaliana seeds were exposed to left and right torsion field for 30, 60 and 90 minutes. The field was generated using the Comfort-7, a device that besides axial and radial components of axion field has also an azimuth component. After exposure the seeds were evaluated for energy and capacity of germination. Comparing the results obtained for seeds exposed to left and right torsion field and unexposed seeds, the influence of torsion fields improved the energy of germination by an overall difference of 36.6% and 39.33%. For the seeds exposed to left torsion field, the higher the time of exposure, the greater results were obtained; the energy of germination increased by 14% at 60 minutes and 28.33% for 90 minutes exposure comparing to the 30 minutes variant.

Bioplasma Concept of Consciousness

Abstract -- The great theories of the twentieth century, such as quantum physics, cybernetics, systems theory, synergetics, molecular biology, bioelectronics didn't leave psychology unaffected. Quantum physics is not only at the root of most of the achievements of electronics, solid-state physics, laser science, nuclear physics, biochemistry and molecular biology, but also forms the foundation of psychology. This way of interpreting the mental phenomena shows that man is not only a purely biological construct, but that bioelectronic, biochemical and informational processes also play a role. They are responsible for the development of the mental processes of man. Man's biological system uses for communication not only the biochemical means, but also electromagnetic and acoustic waves, spin fields and bioplasma. An important role in the history of research into the link between the plasma and the life processes has been played by the works of Sedlak, Iniuszyn and Zona. Bioplasma is a state of mutually interacting interconnected fields and positively and negatively charged particles in an organic semiconductor. Bioplasma is seated in the protein semiconductors, or piezoelectric organic compounds. To have charged particles and excited states in both plasma and in the body, it is necessary to provide energy in various forms. This process is done by the chemical release of energy through the metabolic processes, and through the provision of energy from the outside, through the human senses. Bioplasma is a tangible medium of life and is the ground of consciousness.

Abstract -- Recent biomineralization research has identified calcite microcrystals within the human pineal gland, distinct from the commonly observed hydroxyapatite concretions. These crystals, measuring less than 20 micrometers in length, exhibit piezoelectric properties capable of electromechanical transduction in the frequency range of modern telecommunications (500 MHz to 2.5 GHz). This paper synthesizes the empirical findings of Baconnier, Lang, and colleagues with our theoretical framework of consciousness mathematics, proposing that the pineal microcrystals function as threshold gates interfacing between the body’s bioplasmic field and external electromagnetic environments. We demonstrate how the piezoelectric response’s binary nature creates an irreducible threshold that cannot be gradually corrupted, and how this mechanism may explain ancient traditions’ consistent identification of the pineal region as the seat of higher consciousness. The integration with bioplasma research suggests a complete transceiver architecture wherein consciousness both receives and transmits coherent frequency information through crystalline
geometric structure.

Calcite microcrystals in the pineal gland of the human brain: first physical and chemical studies

Abstract -- A new form of biomineralization has been studied in the pineal gland of the human brain. It consists of small crystals that are less than 20 microm in length and that are completely distinct from the often observed mulberry-type hydroxyapatite concretions. A special procedure was developed for isolation of the crystals from the organic matter in the pineal gland. Cubic, hexagonal, and cylindrical morphologies have been identified using scanning electron microscopy. The crystal edges were sharp whereas their surfaces were very rough. Energy dispersive spectroscopy showed that the crystals contained only the elements calcium, carbon, and oxygen. Selected area electron diffraction and near infrared Raman spectroscopy established that the crystals were calcite. With the exception of the otoconia structure of the inner ear, this is the only known nonpathological occurrence of calcite in the human body. The calcite microcrystals are probably responsible for the previously observed second harmonic generation in pineal tissue sections. The complex texture structure of the microcrystals may lead to crystallographic symmetry breaking and possible piezoelectricity, as is the case with otoconia. It is believed that the presence of two different crystalline compounds in the pineal gland is biologically significant, suggesting two entirely different mechanisms of formation and biological functions. Studies directed toward the elucidation of the formation and functions, and possible nonthermal interaction with external electromagnetic fields are currently in progress.

Forget LASIK: Safer, cheaper vision correction without lasers or incisions
Scientists are developing a possible alternative to LASIK that reshapes the cornea without cutting it or using a laser. The technique uses a small electric potential and a specially shaped platinum lens to temporarily soften the cornea, allowing it to be molded in about a minute.

...Hill and collaborator Brian Wong are studying a technique called electromechanical reshaping (EMR). Rather than physically removing tissue, EMR uses a small electric potential to temporarily alter the chemical environment inside the tissue.
"The whole effect was discovered by accident," explains Wong, a professor and surgeon at the University of California, Irvine. "I was looking at living tissues as moldable materials and discovered this whole process of chemical modification."
The approach takes advantage of the chemistry that helps tissues maintain their shape.
The cornea contains large amounts of collagen, a structural protein also found in skin, cartilage, tendons, and other tissues. Within collagen-rich tissue, electrically charged components attract one another and help hold the structure firmly in place.
Because these tissues also contain a large amount of water, applying an electric potential can change their pH. The pH scale measures how acidic or basic something is. Lowering the pH makes the tissue more acidic and temporarily weakens some of the electrical attractions that keep its structure rigid.
During that brief window, the tissue becomes easier to reshape. Once its normal pH returns, those interactions are restored and the tissue can remain in its new form.
Researchers had previously used EMR to reshape cartilage-rich rabbit ears and to modify scars and skin in pigs. The cornea was an especially intriguing target because its precise curvature determines how effectively the eye focuses light.
For the new experiments, the researchers built specialized platinum "contact lenses" designed to act as molds for the desired corneal shape.
They placed the lenses over rabbit eyeballs immersed in a saline solution intended to mimic natural tears. Because platinum conducts electricity, the lens also functioned as an electrode. When a small electric potential was applied, it produced a carefully controlled change in pH inside the cornea.
Within about a minute, the curvature of the cornea shifted to match the shape of the platinum lens.
That is roughly comparable to the amount of time involved in the laser portion of LASIK, but the experimental EMR method required no incision and potentially could use simpler, less expensive equipment.
The researchers tested the method on 12 rabbit eyeballs. Ten were treated as though they had myopia, or nearsightedness.
In every one of those "myopic" eyes, EMR changed the cornea enough to reach the intended focusing power. In practical terms, that type of optical change would be expected to improve vision if the same effect could eventually be reproduced safely in a living eye.
Importantly, the cells in the treated eyes survived the procedure. The researchers achieved this by carefully controlling the pH gradient so the chemical changes were large enough to reshape the cornea without causing excessive damage.
The experiments also hinted at another possible use.
In separate tests, researchers found that EMR might be able to reverse some chemical-caused cloudiness to the cornea -- a condition that is currently only treatable through a complete corneal transplant...

A single unit produces roughly 0.34 V with a power density of 2.2 µW/cm² at 80 percent relative humidity. ABSTRACT -- Moist-electric generators (MEGs) convert ambient humidity into electricity, but their inherently low power output makes outdoor deployment as a general energy source impractical. Indoor environments, where humidity is stable and low-power electronics demand only microwatt-to-milliwatt supplies, present a more realistic opportunity—and wallpaper, with its large continuously exposed surface area and seamless architectural integration, is the most compelling platform to realize it. Here we report the first wallpaper-type MEG, enabled by a peripheral-absorption, center-evaporation architecture that achieves engineered unidirectional moisture transport on a single paper sheet. Glycerol at the periphery captures atmospheric moisture; polyvinylpyrrolidone in the intermediate region acts as a bound-water sink whose reduced porosity and lowered water activity drive inward transport through Laplace pressure and chemical potential gradients; and a wax-treated center exploits the phase-selective behavior of hydrophobic pores—blocking liquid while transmitting vapor—to confine evaporation without a solid seal. A concealed through-hole interconnection strategy enables modular scaling with no visible wiring. A single unit delivers ∼0.34 V and ∼2.2 µW/cm2 at 80% RH with stable output over 90 min.
