The big eruption of Mount Fuji is perhaps the most horrifying of the predictions made by her. An eruption would be a devastating catastrophe and, according to her dream in 1991, it is due to happen sometime soon. Based on her dream diary, the earliest possible date for the eruption is August 20, 2021, or on the same date every 15 years, until the year 2141. Although Mount Fuji has been dormant for over 300 years, for the last 10 years, Japanese geologists have found clues that may indicate that the volcano is due to erupt soon—hypothesis that aligns well with the timeline that Ryo Tatsuki envisioned.

This time, the author did not record the exact date of the dream, except that it was between June and September of that year. According to Ryo Tatsuki, she predicted that this catastrophe would arrive in 2026, or every 15 years, until the year 2131.

A Critical Analysis of All-Cause Deaths during COVID-19 Vaccination in an Italian Province // by Marco Alessandria
Abstract -- Immortal time bias (ITB) is common in cohort studies and distorts the association estimates between the treated and untreated. We used data from an Italian study on COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness, with a large cohort, long follow-up, and adjustment for confounding factors, affected by ITB, with the aim to verify the real impact of the vaccination campaign by comparing the risk of all-cause death between the vaccinated population and the unvaccinated population. We aligned all subjects on a single index date and considered the “all-cause deaths” outcome to compare the survival distributions of the unvaccinated group versus various vaccination statuses. The all-cause-death hazard ratios in univariate analysis for vaccinated people with 1, 2, and 3/4 doses versus unvaccinated people were 0.88, 1.23, and 1.21, respectively. The multivariate values were 2.40, 1.98, and 0.99. Possible explanations of this trend of the hazard ratios as vaccinations increase could be a harvesting effect; a calendar-time bias, accounting for seasonality and pandemic waves; a case-counting window bias; a healthy-vaccinee bias; or some combination of these factors. With 2 and even with 3/4 doses, the calculated Restricted Mean Survival Time and Restricted Mean Time Lost have shown a small but significant downside for the vaccinated populations.

Apart from agricultural waste, the Arizona-based energy storage company claims they used nothing but carbon, water, and salt to develop what they say is the world’s first truly sustainable battery.

Abstract -- Plastics that can metabolize in oceans are highly sought for a sustainable future. In this work, we report the noncovalent synthesis of unprecedented plastics that are mechanically strong yet metabolizable under biologically relevant conditions owing to their dissociative nature with electrolytes. Salt-bridging sodium hexametaphosphate with di- or tritopic guanidinium sulfate in water forms a cross-linked supramolecular network, which is stable unless electrolytes are resupplied. This unusual stability is caused by a liquid-liquid phase separation that expels sodium sulfate, generated upon salt bridging, into a water-rich phase. Drying the remaining condensed liquid phase yields glassy plastics that are thermally reshapable, such as thermoplastics, and usable even in aqueous media with hydrophobic parylene C coating. This approach can be extended to polysaccharide-based supramolecular plastics that are applicable for three-dimensional printing.

Sun-powered hydrosponge harvests water from air with 40% less energy

Dubbed CPPY@LiCl, the hydrosponge is mostly made of eco-friendly ingredients, including chitosan (obtained from shellfish waste), γ-polyglutamic acid (a biopolymer), and polyvinylpyrrolidone.
Creating the perfect hydrosponge
The hydrosponge is mostly made of eco-friendly ingredients, including chitosan (obtained from shellfish waste), γ-polyglutamic acid (a biopolymer), and polyvinylpyrrolidone. To help the material absorb sunlight and turn that into heat effectively, the researchers also added a compound called polypyrrole.
Next, they employed a mix of physical and chemical-based foaming methods to design the material such that 70% of the hydrosponge is empty space comprising interconnected channels. This porous design allows water vapor to flow through it easily and stick to its surface. To further enhance its performance, the researchers added lithium chloride—a salt that’s naturally good at pulling in moisture from the air.
All these ingredients resulted in the formation of CPPY@LiCl, a hydrosponge capable of trapping and releasing water without using any external power supply.
What sets this material apart is how it stores water. The researchers found that water inside it appears in three forms: tightly attached to the material, loosely attached, and freely moving through the pores. CPPY@LiCl contains a lot of loose and free-moving water, which can be removed with far less energy than materials where water binds tightly.
For instance, the amount of energy needed to evaporate water from CPPY@LiCl is about 40% lower than regular water. Moreover, while conventional water harvesting material typically releases water at 80°C (176°F), water starts flowing out from the hydrosponge at just 50°C (122°F),hich means that the heat from sunlight is enough to make it work.
Testing the water retention capacity
The team conducted experiments under different humidity conditions to check CPPY@LiCl’s water absorption rate. The scientists found that the material could absorb 1.64 grams of water per gram of material at 30% humidity, 2.65 grams at 60%, and 4.21 grams at 80%.
Next, they conducted tests in outdoor settings, during which the material was left overnight, and then water was collected from it during the day. At the end of the test, the material had harvested 6.29 liters of water per square meter. Plus, it maintained 90% of its water-capturing ability even after exposure to strong UV light.
Finally, they checked whether this water was clean and drinkable. The harvested water turned out to be safe for human consumption as per the water safety guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO). These results highlight the incredible potential of CPPY@LiCl in solving water scarcity-related challenges in many regions of the world.
The material is mostly biodegradable, gives out a good yield, and only needs sunlight, making it an ideal solution for rural and remote areas where people don’t have access to clean drinking water. However, further research is required to improve its performance and bring down the cost of the hydrosponge.

Biomass-Derived Hydro-Sponge for Ultra-Efficient Atmospheric Water Harvesting

Abstract
Sorption-based atmospheric water harvesting (SAWH) presents a promising solution for the global freshwater shortage. However, the efficiency of current water harvesting systems is significantly limited by high energy consumption, primarily due to the inefficiency of existing sorbents and the lack of in-depth research on material-water interactions inside. Thus, a novel biomass-based hydro-sponge porous material, CPPY is prepared, by using carboxymethyl chitosan, γ-polyglutamic acid, polyvinylpyrrolidone, and photothermal additive polypyrrole. Combined with physical and chemical foaming to create porous channels, the porosity can achieve 70%. CPPY is developed with super water storage properties up to 40 g g−1 while containing a large amount of activated water, which reduces the energy consumption for evaporation by 40% compared to pure water. The CPPY@LiCl prepared using CPPY loaded with LiCl achieved ultra-high-water uptake of 1.64, 2.65, and 4.21 g g−1 at 30%, 60%, and 80% RH, respectively, with fast water vapor release at a desorption temperature of 50 °C. A remarkable water yield of 6.29 L m−2 day−1 utilizing CPPY@LiCl integrated with a batch treatment strategy under natural sunlight is achieved.

In this study, we conducted a placebo-controlled, randomized, double-blind trial of daily HA (120 mg) intake for 12 weeks in 40 healthy Asian men and women (aged 35–64 years). Skin condition was determined by the evaluation of wrinkles, stratum corneum water content, the amount of transepidermal water loss, elasticity, and through image analysis. After 12 weeks, skin condition was significantly improved in terms of wrinkle assessment, stratum corneum water content, transepidermal water loss, and elasticity in the HA group compared to the placebo group. Regarding the percentage change from baseline, wrinkle assessment, stratum corneum water content, and skin elasticity were significantly improved in the HA group versus the placebo group after 8 and 12 weeks of ingestion. The present findings indicate that oral ingestion of HA may suppress wrinkles and improve skin condition.

Yes, I spent several hours with him...he is in his mid-80s but in good shape with a sharp mind. I think he is absolutely right.
The confusion is thinking the electricity might become liquid, when it would more accurately be the gas in which it is suspended which liquifies, that is as low as he could get it with the equipment he had.
The term is phase change....gases can be turned into METAL using supercold....but they turn into liquid before metal...thus a highly charged gas, kept supercold and under great pressure, would first become liquid, then even metallic.

A Critical Analysis of All-Cause Deaths during COVID-19 Vaccination in an Italian Province // by Marco Alessandria
Abstract -- Immortal time bias (ITB) is common in cohort studies and distorts the association estimates between the treated and untreated. We used data from an Italian study on COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness, with a large cohort, long follow-up, and adjustment for confounding factors, affected by ITB, with the aim to verify the real impact of the vaccination campaign by comparing the risk of all-cause death between the vaccinated population and the unvaccinated population. We aligned all subjects on a single index date and considered the “all-cause deaths” outcome to compare the survival distributions of the unvaccinated group versus various vaccination statuses. The all-cause-death hazard ratios in univariate analysis for vaccinated people with 1, 2, and 3/4 doses versus unvaccinated people were 0.88, 1.23, and 1.21, respectively. The multivariate values were 2.40, 1.98, and 0.99. Possible explanations of this trend of the hazard ratios as vaccinations increase could be a harvesting effect; a calendar-time bias, accounting for seasonality and pandemic waves; a case-counting window bias; a healthy-vaccinee bias; or some combination of these factors. With 2 and even with 3/4 doses, the calculated Restricted Mean Survival Time and Restricted Mean Time Lost have shown a small but significant downside for the vaccinated populations.

Abstract -- Plastics that can metabolize in oceans are highly sought for a sustainable future. In this work, we report the noncovalent synthesis of unprecedented plastics that are mechanically strong yet metabolizable under biologically relevant conditions owing to their dissociative nature with electrolytes. Salt-bridging sodium hexametaphosphate with di- or tritopic guanidinium sulfate in water forms a cross-linked supramolecular network, which is stable unless electrolytes are resupplied. This unusual stability is caused by a liquid-liquid phase separation that expels sodium sulfate, generated upon salt bridging, into a water-rich phase. Drying the remaining condensed liquid phase yields glassy plastics that are thermally reshapable, such as thermoplastics, and usable even in aqueous media with hydrophobic parylene C coating. This approach can be extended to polysaccharide-based supramolecular plastics that are applicable for three-dimensional printing.

Dubbed CPPY@LiCl, the hydrosponge is mostly made of eco-friendly ingredients, including chitosan (obtained from shellfish waste), γ-polyglutamic acid (a biopolymer), and polyvinylpyrrolidone.
Creating the perfect hydrosponge
The hydrosponge is mostly made of eco-friendly ingredients, including chitosan (obtained from shellfish waste), γ-polyglutamic acid (a biopolymer), and polyvinylpyrrolidone. To help the material absorb sunlight and turn that into heat effectively, the researchers also added a compound called polypyrrole.
Next, they employed a mix of physical and chemical-based foaming methods to design the material such that 70% of the hydrosponge is empty space comprising interconnected channels. This porous design allows water vapor to flow through it easily and stick to its surface. To further enhance its performance, the researchers added lithium chloride—a salt that’s naturally good at pulling in moisture from the air.
All these ingredients resulted in the formation of CPPY@LiCl, a hydrosponge capable of trapping and releasing water without using any external power supply.
What sets this material apart is how it stores water. The researchers found that water inside it appears in three forms: tightly attached to the material, loosely attached, and freely moving through the pores. CPPY@LiCl contains a lot of loose and free-moving water, which can be removed with far less energy than materials where water binds tightly.
For instance, the amount of energy needed to evaporate water from CPPY@LiCl is about 40% lower than regular water. Moreover, while conventional water harvesting material typically releases water at 80°C (176°F), water starts flowing out from the hydrosponge at just 50°C (122°F),hich means that the heat from sunlight is enough to make it work.
Testing the water retention capacity
The team conducted experiments under different humidity conditions to check CPPY@LiCl’s water absorption rate. The scientists found that the material could absorb 1.64 grams of water per gram of material at 30% humidity, 2.65 grams at 60%, and 4.21 grams at 80%.
Next, they conducted tests in outdoor settings, during which the material was left overnight, and then water was collected from it during the day. At the end of the test, the material had harvested 6.29 liters of water per square meter. Plus, it maintained 90% of its water-capturing ability even after exposure to strong UV light.
Finally, they checked whether this water was clean and drinkable. The harvested water turned out to be safe for human consumption as per the water safety guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO). These results highlight the incredible potential of CPPY@LiCl in solving water scarcity-related challenges in many regions of the world.
The material is mostly biodegradable, gives out a good yield, and only needs sunlight, making it an ideal solution for rural and remote areas where people don’t have access to clean drinking water. However, further research is required to improve its performance and bring down the cost of the hydrosponge.

Abstract
Sorption-based atmospheric water harvesting (SAWH) presents a promising solution for the global freshwater shortage. However, the efficiency of current water harvesting systems is significantly limited by high energy consumption, primarily due to the inefficiency of existing sorbents and the lack of in-depth research on material-water interactions inside. Thus, a novel biomass-based hydro-sponge porous material, CPPY is prepared, by using carboxymethyl chitosan, γ-polyglutamic acid, polyvinylpyrrolidone, and photothermal additive polypyrrole. Combined with physical and chemical foaming to create porous channels, the porosity can achieve 70%. CPPY is developed with super water storage properties up to 40 g g−1 while containing a large amount of activated water, which reduces the energy consumption for evaporation by 40% compared to pure water. The CPPY@LiCl prepared using CPPY loaded with LiCl achieved ultra-high-water uptake of 1.64, 2.65, and 4.21 g g−1 at 30%, 60%, and 80% RH, respectively, with fast water vapor release at a desorption temperature of 50 °C. A remarkable water yield of 6.29 L m−2 day−1 utilizing CPPY@LiCl integrated with a batch treatment strategy under natural sunlight is achieved.

Abstract -- Hyaluronan (HA) is present in all connective tissues and organs, including the skin and joint fluid. However, few clinical trials have comprehensively evaluated the impacts of oral HA on skin conditions, including wrinkles and moisturization. In this study, we conducted a placebo-controlled, randomized, double-blind trial of daily HA (120 mg) intake for 12 weeks in 40 healthy Asian men and women (aged 35–64 years). Skin condition was determined by the evaluation of wrinkles, stratum corneum water content, the amount of transepidermal water loss, elasticity, and through image analysis. After 12 weeks, skin condition was significantly improved in terms of wrinkle assessment, stratum corneum water content, transepidermal water loss, and elasticity in the HA group compared to the placebo group. Regarding the percentage change from baseline, wrinkle assessment, stratum corneum water content, and skin elasticity were significantly improved in the HA group versus the placebo group after 8 and 12 weeks of ingestion. The present findings indicate that oral ingestion of HA may suppress wrinkles and improve skin condition.

Yes, I spent several hours with him...he is in his mid-80s but in good shape with a sharp mind. I think he is absolutely right.
The confusion is thinking the electricity might become liquid, when it would more accurately be the gas in which it is suspended which liquifies, that is as low as he could get it with the equipment he had.
The term is phase change....gases can be turned into METAL using supercold....but they turn into liquid before metal...thus a highly charged gas, kept supercold and under great pressure, would first become liquid, then even metallic.

Said initial reagents are pulverised, the mixture thereof is placed in a submerged capsule and exposed to the action of the current flow whose density is selected such that it is required for producing an electric arc in said mixture. The inventive reactor for carrying out said method comprises a body filled with water and provided with active zone which is arranged therein and embodied in the form of a capsule made of a refractory material containing the mixture of the initial reagents. Said body also comprises a device for power supply to the mixture of the initial reagents.

Experimental demonstration of electric power generation from Earth's rotation through its own magnetic field

Abstract
Earth rotates through the axisymmetric part of its own magnetic field, but a simple proof shows that it is impossible to use this to generate electricity in a conductor rotating with Earth. However, we previously identified implicit assumptions underlying this proof and showed theoretically that these could be violated and the proof circumvented. This requires using a soft magnetic material with a topology satisfying a particular mathematical condition and a composition and scale favoring magnetic diffusion, i.e., having a low magnetic Reynolds number Rm [Chyba and Hand, Phys. Rev. Appl. 6, 014017 (2016)]. Here we realize these requirements with a cylindrical shell of manganese-zinc ferrite. Controlling for thermoelectric and other potentially confounding effects (including 60 Hz and RF background), we show that this small demonstration system generates a continuous DC voltage and current of the (low) predicted magnitude. We test and verify other predictions of the theory: voltage and current peak when the cylindrical shell's long axis is orthogonal to both Earth's rotational velocity 𝐯 and magnetic field; voltage and current go to zero when the entire apparatus (cylindrical shell together with current leads and multimeters) is rotated 90∘ to orient the shell parallel to 𝐯; voltage and current again reach a maximum but of opposite sign when the apparatus is rotated a further 90∘; an otherwise-identical solid MnZn ferrite cylinder generates zero voltage at all orientations; and a high-Rm cylindrical shell produces zero voltage. We also reproduce the effect at a second experimental location. The purpose of these experiments was to test the existence of the predicted effect. Ways in which this effect might be scaled to generate higher voltage and current may now be investigated.

Abstract
A problem with synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is that due to the poor penetrating action of electromagnetic waves inside solid bodies, the capability to observe inside distributed targets is precluded. Under these conditions, imaging action is provided only on the surface of distributed targets. The present work describes an imaging method based on the analysis of micro-movements on the Khnum-Khufu Pyramid, which are usually generated by background seismic waves. The obtained results prove to be very promising, as high-resolution full 3D tomographic imaging of the pyramid’s interior and subsurface was achieved. Khnum-Khufu becomes transparent when observed in the micro-movement domain. Based on this novelty, we have completely reconstructed internal objects, observing and measuring structures that have never been discovered before. The experimental results are estimated by processing series of SAR images from the second-generation Italian COSMO-SkyMed satellite system, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed method...
